True Defiance LogoTrue Defiance releases on April 10th and is Demon Hunter’s SIXTH full-length album!

If you enjoy this article please like it at the top of the website and share it on Facebook and Twitter, I’d greatly appreciate it! And leave a comment if you’re so inclined. :)

True Defiance was preceded by The World Is A Thorn (2010), Storm the Gates of Hell (2007), The Triptych (2005), Summer of Darkness (2004), and Demon Hunter (2002). They also released their documentary DVD/album 45 Days in 2008, their live album “Live In Nashville” in 2009 and a compilation album “Death, A Destination” last year in 2011. True Defiance obviously, is their 2012 album.

Be sure to pre-order Demon Hunter’s True Defiance and pick up one of the extra special edition packages which will include two additional songs (just like on Storm the Gates of Hell, where the two additional songs were two of the best on the album!) and tons of extras, with more extras for the more expensive bundles.

Hit the link to the Demon Hunter store above to pre-order the album and you’ll also see the full tracklist, be weary to avoid your gaze if you don’t want to ruin the tracklist! As for me, I will be avoiding all things Demon Hunter until release day! No spoilers for me!

True Defiance will be produced by Aaron Spinkle and mixed by Jason Suecof.

Jason has mixed albums for All That Remains, August Burns Red, Dir en Grey, Chimaira, DevilDriver, Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder and more. He produced and wrote for the band Trivium and plays guitar for his newest band, Charred Walls of the Damned by Howard Stern writer Richard Christy (ex-Iced Earth).

Here is their brand new song “Someone To Hate” off True Defiance!

Veteran Demon Hunter producer Aaron Sprinkle returns and has procuded all their previous albums, he has worked for Anberlin, Aaron Gillespie, The Almost, Hawk Nelson, Ivoryline, Jeremy Camp, Project 86, Seven Places, Mae, Emery, Dead Poetic, Thousand Foot Krutch, Mxpx and many more.

If you aren’t familiar with Demon Hunter, they are titans of the Christian metal scene who premiered with a punch in 2002 (formed in 2000) with their self-titled album.

Every year since they have shaken the very foundation of the metal music industry with high-quality songs, intense diversity in style, beautiful slow-paced ballads and superior writing that put them on the map and built legions of fans in both the Christian and secular realms.

Fronted by co-founder and vocalist Ryan Clark (who created the band with his brother Don, who used to be a band member as well), Demon Hunter features a unique Demon Head logo (a demon with a bullet through its forehead) that serves as the album artwork for each album; with different spins and artstyles on the Demon Head.

Ryan Clark also serves as a lead artist for Demon Hunter’s label, Solid State of Tooth & Nail Records, and typically has a hand in the production of the artwork for virtually every band on the label. He also runs his own art company with his brother Don, known as Asterik Studio, who have created artwork for tons of mainstream artists including Kanye West, Liz Phair, P.O.D., The White Stripes and many more.

Suffice it to say, Demon Hunter is my favorite band and I CANNOT WAIT until the release of True Defiance! I own every Demon Hunter album (some multiple times over) and have most of their albums signed! I’ve me the band in person no less than three times, talked with Ryan Clark in person and have several pictures taken with them. I’ve been to three Demon Hunter concerts so far.

Here is a behind the scenes look at the upcoming album!

If you’re a fan of metal you owe it to yourself to pre-order True Defiance! If you aren’t a fan of Demon Hunter, YOU’RE MISSING OUT! Check out their stuff and jump on the new album!

I’ll be posting as much of their music as I can, everyday, leading up to the release of True Defiance, so if you aren’t a fan of the band; then keep your eyes on Watch Us Play Games and get pumped!
