Wii U Pro Controller Gamepad Offers Traditional Control

Wii U Pro Controller gives two analog sticks, four shoulder buttons, four face buttons and a D-Pad for traditional gamepad control!

Wii U Pro Wireless Controller will offer a traditional gamepad for hardcore AAA Wii U games, offering control that is more familiar, and more comfortable for longterm play than the heavier, larger, Wii GamePad, Nintendo has officially announced via Nintendo Direct!

This is a HUGE development and a VERY COOL announcement! Much like the Wii’s “Classic Controller Pro”, the Wii U Pro Controller offers everything that the Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers offer, giving Wii U gamers perfect control (and it looks DAMN COMFORTABLE and slick too!).

The Wii U Pro Controller offers the following:

* Two Analog Sticks
* One Directional D-Pad
* FOUR Shoulder Buttons including two back triggers.
* A, B, X, Y Face Buttons
* Select and Start Buttons
* Wii U “Home” Button
* Wii U “Power” Button
* Wii U Controller Port Indicator Lights
* Battery Cord Slot to plug the controller into the system for charging.

In addition, Nintendo has confirmed that the Wii U will support ALL Wii accessories and input devices including the Wii Balance Board, Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuck Controllers! Presumably this means that the Wii U will also support the Wii Classic Controller and Wii Classic Controller Pro, and other Wii accessories.

The Wii U Pro Controller is officially putting the Wii U one-step closer (and one GIANT STEP for Nintendo-kind) to being viewed as a hardcore machine that can compete with Sony and Microsoft and their current and next-gen machines. Wise, WISE move on Nintendo’s part. Huzzah!
