Pure epic robot mecha action awaits you! Be sure to buy the Limited Edition!

Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be released on October 30 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita alongside a Limited Edition set (on 360 & PS3)! These are the two infamous PS2 masterpieces created by Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima!

Every copy of the game (standard or deluxe) will include a demo of the upcoming 2013 Metal Gear Solid: Rising starring Raiden!

This release marks the FIRST TIME that Zone of the Enders has ever been available on a non-Sony console platform (a oft-forgotten digital novel game called Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars was released for Game Boy Advance in the US, Japan and Europe in 2002).

This new HD Collection gives fans both Zone of the Enders 1 (originally released for PS2 in 2001) and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (the PS2 sequel, released in 2003) packed onto a single disc.

And it marks the first time that the previously Japan-only special edition version of The 2nd Runner (called Anubis) has been released outside of Japan!

In addition to the $40 (budget-priced!) standard version of the game, a Zone of the Enders HD Collection Limited Edition set is also available for pre-order!

Costing $60, the Zone of the Enders HD Collection Limited Edition will also include an Zone of the Enders series soundtrack (“import soundtrack”) that features remixed music from the series, and a 100-page(!) Zone of the Enders Art Book that features the work of artist Yoji Shinkawa! All of this, alongside Hideo Kojima’s Zone of the Enders masterpieces, will be packed into a special golden metallic package exclusively for the Limited Edition!

Be sure to pick up the Zone of the Enders HD Collection Limited Edition if you can, it’s a really great deal for fans, especially given the cheap price of $60!

The gold, metallic packaged bundle will include a full copy of the game with the METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE demo, an import soundtrack featuring remixes of the music from the series, and a 100 page art book featuring new work from Yoji Shinkawa.

Developed by Kojima Productions, Zone of the Enders HD Collection will include fan favorites Zone of the Enders, and the European special edition version of its sequel Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. This will be the first time these games are available in fully remastered HD, and the first time this version of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner has been released stateside.

The essential Zone of the Enders series features thrilling robot fights in a futuristic interplanetary setting. Players experience high-flying robot combat as they grab enemies, unleash a whirlwind of blade strikes and fire off guns from a distance, all while spiraling freely in open air. Partnering with legendary animation house Sunrise, Zone of the Enders HD Collection will also include a brand new opening animation, as well as fully up-resed renders of the original opening animations from the original games!

If you’re really into Zone of the Enders, don’t forget to check online for a ROM of the GBA “The Fist of Mars” to play on an emulator (or track down the actual game if you want) and definitely check out the 26-episode Zone of the Enders anime series, alongside the anime Zone of the Enders animated movie (OVA, Original Video Animation); this will definitely open your eyes to the amazing universe Hideo Kojima and his team created!

In fact, here is the entire OVA Movie in one youtube video for your viewing pleasure! :D
