WatchMePlay The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Part 5 – The Thief And the Curiosity Shop Dealer

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Skull Kid Plays With Tael Fairy Screenshot

The playful Skull Kid plays tricks on the red fairy Tael, Link’s fairy Tatl’s bro.

In Part 5 of WatchMePlay The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, I decide to finally start exploring outside of Clock Town for the first time!

We head out into the wide-wide world of Termina, and run into an interesting cutscene that expands on the story of Skull Kid, giving us lots of new exposition and growing the character of this mysterious antagonist. I decide that it’s about time we figure out how to get into the first dungeon, so that leads us into the Forest Area of Termina and into the Southern Swamp.

We meet a Deku that is selling Magic Beans, although we can’t buy them yet… We also enter the Witch’s Hut at the Southern Swamp for the first time, and enter the mysterious forest (Errr, the “Woods of Mystery” – Beware of Ferocious Turtles! So says the sign) where we must follow some monkeys to find our way through.

Tingle Tingle Kooloo-Limpah? Creep….

The monkeys take us to a downed witch, who tells us she needs some healing potion to revive her. Sadly for us, we do not yet have an empty bottle… So we head back out of the Southern Swamp in search of an Empty Bottle.

We fight “Real Bombchu’s” and have our first battle with the fire-spitting Dodongo, try to knock a guy down from a tree, listen to some bedtime stories, add Anju the Innkeeper to our Bomber’s Notebook, try to find out how to get the bottle down from atop a crate at the shop (Trading Post), and eventually we see an encounter between The Thief and the Curiosity Shop Dealer! Intriguing!

We end by encountering Tingle, the 35-year-old man-fairy, and buying the Woodfall Map. We also get to watch a Scarecrow dance to speed up time!

Lego Marvel Super Heroes has been announced! Avengers assemble! It will be released in Fall 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3, WiiU, PC, 3DS, DS and PS Vita! No regular Wii version, signalling the true end of the first Wii.

This will be the first Lego game to star Marvel super heroes, and follows the extremely successful and recent Lego Lord of the Rings title, and previous Lego games including Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, among others.

Over 100 Marvel Super Heroes will be unlockable in the game and it will include all of the biggest Marvel superheroes that fans know and love including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Loki, Galactus and many more. It will also feature vehicles from the universe. The game will pack in a plethora of super-cool character abilities, combat-like action sequences, epic battle scenes, puzzle-solving and a unique story told with playful LEGO humor.

Additionally, Traveller’s Tales has confirmed that Lego City Undercover, the open world GTA-style Lego game exclusively for Wii U, is still on track for an early 2013 release.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes offers an original storyline in which Nick Fury calls upon Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and other heroes spanning the Marvel Universe to save Earth from such threats as the vengeance of Loki and the hunger of Galactus, Devourer of the Worlds. LEGO and Marvel fans will enjoy classic LEGO videogame adventure and humor, while playing as their favorite Marvel characters.

“We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing. “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe.

“Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game. If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.” said TQ Jefferson, Vice President, Games Production, Marvel Entertainment.

WiiU GamePad Virtual Console Play Coming Soon

Super Metroid Virtual Console Wii U GamePad

Super Metroid on the GamePad. Yes please.

Can I play WiiU Virtual Console games on the GamePad? The answer right now is NO. You cannot.

Why the heck can you not? Who knows. Thankfully, Nintendo knows about this issue and that people desire it, and is working on an update that will allow Wii U owners to play downloadable titles, including Virtual Console games (once the Virtual Console debuts on the WiiU, that is).

To quote, Nintendo told Kotaku:

“Nintendo is moving ahead with development of Virtual Console for Wii U. We plan to make it so you can play Virtual Console games on the Wii U GamePad alone”.

Reggie, Nintendo of America’s Vice President, has also publicly stated that he would “Love for that to happen” regarding the ability to play Virtual Console games on the WiiU GamePad.

These are definitely positive developments, but I wish Nintendo would get their act together and have stuff like this figured out beforehand. Not later on. Nintendo fans who love the Virtual Console and have downloaded tons of games for it on Wii, DSi and 3DS, should be rewarded for their diligence and fan-service, not “punished”. But oh well, as long as they fix these problems, then all is well. But they need to continue to learn from their mistakes.

New Pokemon X And Y Legendary (Xerneas, Yveltal) And Starting Trio Screenshots. Chespin (Grass), Fennekin (Fire) And Froakie (Water) Revealed

Fennekin Pokemon X Y Fire Starter Artwork

Get things alight with the Fire Starter Fennekin in Pokemon X Y

Fennekin, Chespin and Froakie Pokemon X and Pokemon Y starters and Legendaries Blue and Red have been revealed!

Update: The legendary Pokemon named have officially been unveiled! They are the Flying Legendary Yveltal (pronounced ee-VELL-tawl) and the deer-like “Xerneas” (pronounced Xerneas).

Above you can see the Pokemon X, Y Fire Pokemon Starter Fennekin. The Pokemon X Y release date is this October 2013 worldwide exclusively for 3DS.

Take a good, long hard look at these Pokemon as the following two and the one above are the three starting Pokemon that Pokemon Y and Pokemon X players will have to choose from when they begin their newest Pokemon Trainer adventure.

Here is the Pokemon X, Y Water Pokemon Starter Froakie.

Froakie Pokemon X Y Fire Starter Artwork

Soak it up with the Water Starter Froakie in Pokemon X Y

This is in keeping with tradition, as in all past Pokemon games the player starts out by selecting one of three new Pokemon to begin the game with, always a Grass, Fire and Water type.

Even with all of the new features, improvements, enhancements and reworkings of the first-ever next-gen handheld Pokemon games for 3DS, some things have stayed stubbornly the same.

Last but not least, here is the Pokemon X, Y Grass Starter Pokemon Chespin.

However fans will be very happy to see the first two Legendary Pokemon X and Y versions, who look to be just as badass as you expect from Legendary Pokemon. The Pokemon Y Legendary is red in color with an X-shaped motiff and is a awesome flying Pokemon, while the Pokemon Y Legendary is blue in color, a type of deer with crazy rainbow antlers and the letter Y in it’s eyes. Very cool. The different colors are in keeping with the new Pokemon logos, each of which has a different color in Red for X and Blue for Y.

Pokemon X And Pokemon Y Release Date Worldwide 3DS (America, Europe, Australia, Japan) In October 2013. Full Pokemon Direct Nintendo Announcement Video And Gameplay Footage

Pokemon Y Legendary CG Screenshot

The awesome looking Pokemon Y Red Legendary!

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be released in October 2013 at the same time worldwide! The games will hit in the USA and North America, Europe, Australia and Japan at the same exact time. Pokemon Y Legendary and X Legendary were also revealed, as you can see at the top and bottom of this article in CG screenshots.

Update: The legendary Pokemon named have officially been unveiled! They are the Flying Legendary Yveltal (pronounced ee-VELL-tawl) and the deer-like “Xerneas” (pronounced Xerneas).

During the announcement of these new games with the first ever Pokemon-themed Nintendo Direct (called “Pokemon Direct”), Nintendo President Satoru Iwata spoke in English throughout the whole video and revealed that Nintendo, Game Freak, Tree House and The Pokemon Company are making a humongous effort to translate and localize Pokemon X & Y while they are still in development. They will apparently be working hand-in-hand to translate from Japanese into English and other European languages while the text is coming hot-off-the-press from development in Japan.

Awesome rainbow antlers for the Pokemon X Blue Legendary!

This will ensure that Pokemon fans around the world will no longer have an excruciating wait time between the Japanese release of the new Pokemon X and Pokemon Y and the English release in America, Europe and Australia. Will other languages be included in the European version upon release? It sounds like they will, although this is a daunting task for Nintendo.

Watch the full Pokemon Direct January 2013 video announcement, which includes Pokemon X and Pokemon Y gameplay footage alongside a breakdown on the history of the series in both Japan and overseas, starting from the beginning!

Pokemon Y And Pokemon X 3DS New Core Games Announced. Features Complete Polygonal 3D Graphics For First Time Ever!

Pokemon Y and X Logos

All-new logos for all-new Pokemon games!

Pokemon Y and Pokemon X have been officially announced for 3DS! As the next all-new core games in the Pokemon series!

Update: The legendary Pokemon named have officially been unveiled! They are the Flying Legendary Yveltal (pronounced ee-VELL-tawl) and the deer-like “Xerneas” (pronounced Xerneas).

The games will feature the first ever fully, 100% polygonal 3D graphics, finally bringing the Pokemon series into the modern gaming world with a game that has cut the trappings of tradition that the series has stubbornly held onto ever since the first Pokemon hit way back in 1996 on the original Game Boy! The new name is also the first time that the color theme has finally been broken, signaling the true next-generation of Pokemon (From Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow to Gold, Silver and Crystal to Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald to Diamond, Pearl and Platinum to FireRed and LeafGreen to SoulSilver and HeartGold to Pokemon Black and White to Pokemon Black 2 and White 2)

Three all-new Pokemon were revealed as the main Pokemon from this title that players will be able to select at the beginning of the game, per tradition. They are: Chespin (Grass), Fennekin (Fire) and Froakie (Water) in what look similar to a raccoon, a fox and a frog.

Sadly, those who were looking forward to having a real unique mix like a Steel or Dark Pokemon at the start of the new games will be sorely disappointed.

The biggest new improvements for Pokemon Y and Pokemon X come in the department of Pokemon Battles, where the visuals have been given a huge and complete overhaul, with all-new animations and much more dynamic battles that are a 100 fold improvement on previous Pokemon games.

But don’t take my word for it, watch the first official trailer for Pokemon Y and Pokemon X!

Song of the Day – Desire The Pain (Demon Hunter Month. Lyrics Included) From The World Is A Thorn Deluxe Album (2010)

Desire the Pain by Demon Hunter is a song from their 2010 The World Is A Thorn Deluxe Edition album, available exclusively via the Deluxe Edition of the album; which featured Desire the Pain alongside Driving Nails (String Mix). It also came with a DVD that featured a number of acoustic songs (My Throat Is An Open Grave, Driving Nails, Blood In the Tears and Down In A Hole, a new Alice In Chains cover from their classic 1992 album Dirt).

Desire the Pain is a criminally overlooked song and is not only one of the best songs on World Is A Thorn, but it is one of Demon Hunter’s best songs ever in my humble opinion. Desire the Pain is an emotional rollercoaster of a song with a worship-style feel to it, that tells the tale of how one can choose to life a Christ-like life where they desire the pains and burdens of life and what knowledge God brings through it. The song features a very unique vocal style for Ryan Clark that sits somewhere between a yell and a scream, as he stretches his aural abilities once again into new territory. It is a slower song, but not quite as slow as some others, but very different from anything else they’ve done. I absolutely love the chorus, which makes me feel like worshipping God everytime I hear it.

Lyrics:

This is your dying will
Forced to feed, and over again.
Flies to filth, greed, wealth
And we take what they give,
Every piece that we can hold
Is it all that we are?
Is it all we seek to be?

Soiled hands will meet us there
Choking the light from our souls

I desire the pain
I desire the weight
And I will face my grave

Draining the life from our veins
Into a curse that we despise
What a sickening way to spend our lives

Soiled hands will meet us there
Choking the light from our souls

I desire the pain
I desire the weight
And I will face my grave
I desire remorse
I desire release
And I will chase this away

Away

I desire the pain
I desire the weight
And I will face my grave
I desire remorse
I desire release
And I will chase this away
And I will chase this away

About Demon Hunter Month
January 2013 is dedicated to the Christian metal band Demon Hunter, arguably my favorite band; and will feature songs from their entire catalog featured daily throughout the month, one a day. Whether you like metal, believe in God or not, check these songs out as you may be pleasantly surprised and hopefully you will discover some new-to-your-ears music to enjoy. Demon Hunter’s sound is extremely diverse, not all songs feature screams and growls, some are slow, sung ballads; others are heartfelt, all are deep with powerful lyrics that will make you think and ponder, as the sound takes you away.
