Splinter Cell: Blacklist Announced. Releases Spring 2013. Killing In Motion Smooth Attacking While Moving Impresses (Xbox 360)

Splinter Cell: Blacklist Killing In Motion

Killing is beautiful with Killing In Motion in Splinter Cell: Blacklist releasing Spring 2013.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist announced at E3 2012 during the Microsoft Pre-E3 2012 Press Conference and boy was it KILLER.

The new killing-in-motion feature allows you to smoothly combo kill attacks WHILE simultaneously moving through the environment at the same exact time. Words DO NOT do this system justice, your jaw will drop when you see it in motion. Picture smoothly executing an enemy with a knife, then barreling over a car, taking out the gun at the same time as you are rolling atop the car to smoothly execute enemies as you land. Once you see the trailer you will be a believer!

Here is the E3 2012 gameplay video of Splinter Cell: Blacklist in action!

The game is set at the Iran/Iraq border in a new Middle Eastern environment.

A very cool new view allows Sam to see through walls in a very impressive manner to easily pick out targets. At one point Sam uses a gun to electrocute guys standing in a puddle of water. Using the voice activated controls of the Kinect, you can use your voice to distract enemies and much more.

Online multiplayer, a deep single player, and Spy vs Mercs returns!

Question of the Day Poll – What Next-Gen System Most Excites You? Wii U, PS4, or Xbox 720? (May 31, 2012)

Wii U vs Xbox 720 vs PS4 FIGHT!

FIGHT! What next-gen system most excites you? PS4, Xbox 720 or Wii U? VOTE NOW!

What upcoming next-generation videogame system, Wii U, PS4, or Xbox 720, are you most excited about?

I know its still extremely early-going to ask a question like this, given that we don’t yet know anything about the PlayStation 4 or the next-Xbox system, but we do know a lot about the Wii U. Either way, players have their own conditions they’d like settled for a next-gen system to be truly next-gen, and if one of the current systems hasn’t settled it for you, then you’ll likely be more excited about what the other manufacturers may have in-the-works.

In that way, this question will also tell us whether or not what Nintendo has shown of the Wii U, with its tablet controller, is enough to excite them more than the prospect of what Sony or Microsoft have up their sleeves.

Once the non-code-names are known for a particular system, I will update this poll question.

Minecraft Xbox Live Arcade Sales Are 400,000. Selling Half A Million In One Day. Becomes Best-Selling XBLA Game Ever. Profitable In One Hour

Minecraft Xbox 360 Screenshot

Minecraft Xbox 360 screenshot… CREATE… ANYTHING! Now the best-selling XBLA game EVER!

Minecraft for Xbox 360 Live Arcade sold 400,000 units to become the best-selling XBLA game of all time, dethroning Trials: Evolution for that title!

This is a huge feat for developer Notch and the Minecraft-brand, and continuing proof that the Indie-darling is a license to print money, and that the game will blow away sales expectations for whatever platform it lands on.

Developer Mojang and creator Markus Persson tweeted the news, saying:

“Well then. Saw the official sales numbers for the first 24 hours of Minecraft Xbox 360, and it’s very, very good. Profitable in an hour.”

Here’s the MineCraft Xbox 360 launch trailer!

Xbox 720 Durango (Codename), Successor to Xbox 360 System, Already Manufactured? Dev Kits Given To Developers?

Xbox 720 Durango Fake

A fake mock-up of the next-gen Xbox 720 Durango (codename).

Is the Xbox 720 Durango already being manufactured and are Xbox 720 development kits already in possession by top-tier game devs and publishers?

That is one of the rumors that is making the rounds on the Internets.

According to GameSpot and IGN, an unspecified source has leaked news that the Xbox 720 Durango, or it’s development kits rather, are being assembled already at a manufacturing plant by Flextronics, a Texas-based Electronics firm. This would make sense as some rumors have stated that certain developers have already gotten the first Xbox 720 Durango hardware (called a Development Kit) so that they can start making games for the upcoming next-generation console. Whether the specs have been finalized already or not is an open-question. Typically developers start working on games on a PC with “target specs” before they then transfer their code over to the actual development kit (i.e. the game system itself) once they get their hands on one.

According to other reports, Microsoft insists that the Xbox 720 Durango will NOT be shown at E3 2012… although one finds it hard to believe that the system won’t make some kind of appearance.

Nintendo is set to reveal their next-generation console, called the Wii U (also a name that could change) at E3 2012. It first made it’s big splash debut at last year’s E3 2011 and will likely be released this year. And the PlayStation 4 is also heavily rumored as coming soon… possibly this year. Possibly not. It looks like the console manufacturers Sony and Mirosoft, with the exception of Nintendo, may be holding off one more year before unleashing the next-generation on gamers.

Flextronics was the same company that manufactured the original Xbox, so it would make sense that Microsoft might return to them for the Xbox 720 Durango’s assembly. Microsoft even had them, along with two others, originally tapped for the Xbox 360’s assembly. Another rumor says that Flextronics also has “comprehensive marketing, software, and hardware tests of the next Xbox” already ongoing.

E3 2012 is only one month away (taking place taking place from June 5–7) so we will find out soon whether the next-generation is indeed hitting this year or not! Are you ready?!

I sure as HELL am NOT! lol. I still have games from the PS2/GameCube/Xbox1 generation I’ve yet to get around to playing…. :( My current-generation game playing is completely abysmal. Much to my dismay….

Here is a video showing off some of the wild rumors regarding the Xbox 720 Durango from earlier this year.

Halo 4 Release Date Is November 6, 2012 (Xbox 360)

Halo 4 Multiplayer

Here is what Halo 4 looks like in action.... note this is a very early screenshot.

Halo 4 will be released on November 6th, 2012 exclusively for Xbox 360, announced Microsoft. Better yet for international readers, that is a worldwide launch date!

The game will take place four years after the events at the end of Halo 3, and will mark the return of Master Chief. “Master Chief returns to confront his destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Halo 4 marks a new beginning for the landmark entertainment franchise that has sold more than 40 million games worldwide and inspired multiple New York Times best-selling novels, live-action shorts, comic books, action figures and apparel.”

This new game marks an all-new saga or trilogy within the Halo universe, one that will be separate from the original three games, yet still tie into them. Additionally, Microsoft is banking on the new launch of Halo 4 to make 2012 one of the biggest in Xbox 360 history. It was developed by 343 Industries and Microsoft, and is the first main, core Halo game NOT developed by Bungie.

Here is a special “Halo 4: Remember To Not Forget” Red vs Blue segment revealing the release date announcement!
