If you haven’t heard of Phinehas before, you will surely remember their name after watching this incredibly awesome metal video; with an absolutely insane drummer! These guys were discovered by the late Haste the Day, and have proven their headbanging worth after their “The Phinehas EP” made waves when it first dropped in December of 2009. It was a long time coming but they finally have a full album under their belts!
If you’re not into metalcore you may not like what these guys are doing, but regardless you can’t deny that it’s pretty darn awesome. They bring the heavy while also adding lighter tones to their music through clean vocals. Sounds absolutely beast to me. Trying to secure a review copy of this album, so hopefully you can look forward to that soon. :)

One Voice, One Violin’s Skyrim music video (duo of Lindsey Stirling and Peter Hollens) is absolutely mind-blowing and will put a gigantic smile on the face of anyone who watches it, cold-hearted hater of fantasy or Skyrim RPG junkie with no life, all will bow to the incredible power of this unbelievable video. Both of the cast of characters in this video; the incredibly sweet, cute-as-a-button, violin-master Lindsey Stirling and the man’s man, loincloth-bearing, voice-of-a-giant, Dragon-speaking bastard that is Peter Hollens (envious of this guy… :P) put on a show of absolutely epic proportions, with music that is of angels; and have given the world an incredible remastering of the Skyrim themesong composed by Jeremy Soule, from the epic RPG videogame that has engulfed anyone who has touched it (available for PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 from Bethesda Game Studios).
Lindsey vs Peter, Sword vs Violin Bow! FIGHT!
Unbelievably, the bear-of-a-man explorer named Peter used over 120 overlayings of his vocal tracks to create the incredible voices you hear throughout this piece, and of course the incredible violin playing of Lindsey (who’s drop-dead sexy performance on a violin will make all men rush out and exclusively date violin players) will bring you to your knees in spellbound amazement. Topping off this cake of the Heaven’s is cinematography that would make The Lord of the Ring’s film director Peter Jackson stand up and cheer.
Add in first-person videogame viewpoints, INCREDIBLE special effects of Lindsey and Peter shooting spells at each other ripped right out of a videogame, and a Violin bowstring vs sword battle between Peter and Lindsey, and you can easily see why this amazing video has over two million and a half views!
Even after seeing it multiple times, it still gives me chills. Absolutely completely utterly BEAUTIFUL. Do yourself a favor and give this masterpiece video a watch!

True Defiance is nearly upon us as Demon Hunter’s newest album, their sixth full-length, releases in only two days on April 10th, 2012!
If you haven’t already pre-ordered the album, then you’re out-of-luck doing so from Demon Hunter’s online stores, as the album is sold out at both official digital storefronts!
However you can still buy the Deluxe Edition or standard edition everywhere else from Amazon to iTunes to Best Buy to Hot Topic, etc.
Sadly I don’t have money to purchase or pre-order the album at the moment and I doubt I’m going to get it. :( But I’m looking forward to picking the album up from my local music shop Zia Records on the day of release, by trading in some videogames, CDs, movies, etc. for store credit.

Icon For Hire is a girl-fronted band formed in 2007 and signed to Tooth & Nail Records! If you like Flyleaf or Paramore, then you’re sure to enjoy the heavy rock sound and female-powered vocals of this new group.
The following music video is for their song “Get Well” off of their debut album, “Scripted”.
The music video is quite interesting and really well shot, with cool scenes of the lead singer trapped in a room and slow-motion effects that really give it a cinematic quality. You also gotta love the passion that the lead singer, named Ariel, brings to the song. The four-piece also features Shawn Jump on Guitar, Josh Kincheloe on Bass and Adam Kronshagen on Drums. All of them coalesce to bring the house down! I also gotta love those feet-shots… Damn this clean-feet girl foot fetish of mine! :P

Icon For Hire have certainly got my attention! I really need to check out this album. It’s now on my wishlist! Been quite a while since I listened to a female-fronted band of this style. I’m a big Flyleaf fan. But I’m itching for something new!
Icon For Hire is currently touring with Emery on the “Emery and Friends” tour; which also features fellow labelmates Sent By Ravens and I Am Empire. That tour is wrapping up soon and will end on March 25th. Then the band is going on a HUGE tour with Red, P.O.D. and Brian “Head” Welch (formerly of Korn)! Talk about an amazing lineup! I’d give anything to see that show!
True to their name, the band Black Veil Brides dresses in all black, with goth-style makeup and dress. Contrary to popular belief, they're all guys (used to have a girl drummer who left in 2009)
Perfect Weapon by Black Veil Brides (off their debut album We Stitch These Wounds) is a fantastic song and an even better music video.

Oh yeah, and like what you like. Ignores those who hate what you like. This band has caught a lot of flack for an untold number of reasons (goth dress, emo subject matter, feminine looking guys, monotone sounding singer, et al) but NONE of that matters as long as you like what you hear.
