Now this is easily one of the coolest pieces of art I’ve ever seen. As a HUGE fan of Super Metroid and the Metroid games in general, this piece is absolutely phenomenal! A cave setting is also PERFECT. Absolutely fitting!

I like how many scenes were fit into the letters, all taken from the Skyrim videogame. It’s very slickly done!

I never really played these games as a kid, but I do recall this one girl I used to like who was 8 years old and lived down the street. Her name was “Carolina” and she owned this game along with the Power Pad for NES. Of course, I always played the cooler games like Excitebike, Batman or Contra. Now I feel like I missed out!
I saw a funny comment with a guy saying him and his friends never actually stepped on that mat to play, they simply pounded their fists into it to make the lil olympian run!
If you never played these games, they were (in many ways) the precursor to the Dance Dance Revolution series and it’s mat-based Dance/Music/Rhythm gameplay.

I wish Nintendo would do something really daring and try something crazy like re-inventing Mario with this kind of art-style. Wouldn’t that be awesome?! I think they should try it at least once!

I love seeing really cool artwork of Pokemon. It’s sad that the official artwork from the games are not as cool as most people want to actually see. And that fans need to step in to create awesome stuff like this.
