The game hits Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 2nd, 2012, it will also be released for PC sometime in the future, although a date has yet to be announced.
The game is available in two special editions depending on the platform. The PS3 “Anthology” edition contains free included download-codes for every PS1 edition of Resident Evil available on the PlayStation Network!
This means the PS3 Resident Evil 6 Anthology Collector’s Edition includes RE1-RE6 that is: Resident Evil 1: Director’s Cut (RE ’96), Resident Evil 2: Dual Shock Edition, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD, Resident Evil 4 HD and Resident Evil 5: Gold! That’s along with a hardcopy disc of Resident Evil 6 of course.
The Xbox 360 Collector’s Edition is called “Archives”, this version is gimped, and only includes Resident Evil 5: Gold, Resident Evil 4: HD and Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD, but includes the Resident Evil: Degeneration CG movie, which is not part of the PS3 collection.
Obviously the PS3 set is the way to go, which will give you the complete Resident Evil saga all playable on one system!
The Collector’s Editions will cost you a pretty penny though, as both sets go for $90 dollars, whereas the standard Resident Evil 6 game by itself runs the typical $60.
How excited are you for RE6? Have you pre-ordered Resident Evil 6 yet and do you plan on picking it up?Read the rest of this entry »
Summer game time! But is this the last summer for Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3?
It’s that time again, SUMMER GAME TIME!
Summer Game Time (TM :P) is a time when playing videogames is as important as going to your job. Why? Because you MUST FINISH your backlog of games that you never completed all year and from years past, in order to prepare yourself for the absolute ONSLAUGHT of holiday releases; many of which are sequels. If you are to enjoy those sequels to their fullest, then you must finish the games that preceded them in order to catch yourself up on what is happening in said sequels.
So what games are YOU planning on playing before the holiday rush?
Sequels being released this holiday include: Assassin’s Creed III, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Resident Evil 6 (October 2nd), Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (July 31st), Borderlands 2 (September 18th), Pokemon Black and White Version 2 (October 7th), Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time (October 1st), Fable: The Journey (October 9th), Medal of Honor: Warfighter (October 23rd), Far Cry 3 (September 4th), Gears of War: Judgement (2013), Splinter Cell: Blacklist (2013), etc.
Gameplay footage from the first ever videogame starring Marvel Comic’s Deadpool!
Deadpool: The Videogame is actively in development by Transformers: War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron developer High Moon Studios, who is the first developer to take a crack at making a dedicated Deadpool-only videogame. It will be released sometime in 2013, most likely for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, although specific platforms weren’t confirmed. Deadpool will be voiced by Nolan North, the veteran voice-actor (possibly most famous for voicing Drake from Uncharted).
In the game players step into the shoes of the 4th Wall-breaking Marvel superhero from the X-Men, who loves to chat it up while slicing enemies into bits. The gameplay looks like great third-person action mayhem with Deadpool continously making jokes and throwing out one-liners. In the comics Deadpool is a character who knows he is a comic book character, can see his text bubbles, and will talk to the reader, thus breaking the 4th wall in all kinds of ways. Thankfully, all of that 4th-wall-breaking goodness is intact in the Deadpool videogame as well.
Here is the debut Deadpool the videogame gameplay trailer.
Here is how Batman and the Bat-family looked in the Silver Age 1960s… whacky eh.
Batman Silver Age Videogame? Batman: Arkham City developer Rocksteady is reported working on a new Batman game, a follow-up to Batman: Arkham City, that would revive the Silver Age Batman.
You know the one, the corny Batman played by Adam West from the 1960s! Although the Silver Age, of course, also includes the Batman comic books during those times with Batman and Robin. A time where things were more comical and mischievous than the “Dark Knight” with the darker, more violent feel that we know and love today.
This was a time when Batman fought against aliens, monsters and against rayguns!
Reportedly the plot of this new stylized Silver Age style Batman game will tell the story of how Batman and The Joker first met, and will take a lot of influence from the comicbooks of the 1950s when Batman teamed up with other superheroes like Superman and the Justice League of America.
Does this mean that we can see a new Batman game that takes some cues from Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes and features Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, etc. beside Batman in the same game? One can only hope! How awesome would THAT be!
Mark Hamill has stated that he likely will not return to voice The Joker again, although he did return to voice The Joker from Lego Batman 2… and can you have The Joker with Mark Hamill? Would Rocksteady go along with the premise of the game if Mark Hamill decides not to return to voice The Joker?
Kevin Conroy voiced The Batman, and he will likely return for the new game one would expect.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was released in 2009 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and seeked to do for videogames what the X-Men and Spider-Man 2000s films did for comicbook based movies. The game was a gritty smash-hit that set the standard for how to do comicbook-based superhero videogames RIGHT. Batman: Arkham Asylum sold over 4.3 million copies.
The sequel, last year’s Batman: Arkham City for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, took the series into a sandbox open world. The game sold over 2 million units worldwide in its first week reaching over 6 million sales within the first month. It will launch for Wii U with an “Armored Edition” later this year.
Batman Silver Age (made up name by me) may be announced at Comic-Con 2012 this week.

In 2013 play through a survival horror FPS based on the hit TV show The Walking Dead.
The Walking Dead FPS by Call of Duty-publisher Activision has been announced, and will give fans of the hit AMC zombie TV show, a whole new perspective on the elements of the show that they know and love. Pumped up with intense first-person shooter gameplay.
Unlike The Walking Dead Adventure Game from TellTales Games, which was based on the comics, this new FPS title from developer Terminal Reality (Ghostbusters: The Videogame, Kinect Star Wars), is based on the television series; which is certainly what most fans of the property expect. The game is a long ways off, currently scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2013.
The developers plan to focus on survival in lieu of action, where players will be forced to deal with limited resources (typical of survival horror games, having to conserve ammo and health) and carefully handle the unpredictable people they encounter. Daryl and Merle will serve as the main protagonists in the game.
You can see what the game will look like with this debut The Walking Dead Activision FPS videogame trailer.
I only watched the first three episodes of The Walking Dead… I feel so behind. :P
The official logo for Tales of Xillia, the 13th entry in the long-running Namco RPG series.
Tales of Xillia is coming to the USA! In addition to an American release, Europe will also be getting the game confirmed Namco via their Twitter account.
Here’s a Japanese Tales of Xillia Trailer, showing tons of cutscenes and story sequences, along with gameplay at the end.
This is huge news for fans of the Tales series of RPGs from Namco, who were a bit worried that the latest game in the series, a PS3-exclusive, would not see the light of day outside Japan.
Thankfully, Namco has come to their senses, although no word on exactly WHEN the game will be released has been announced. But it is extremely likely it will hit sometime this holiday, if I had to wager a guess.
This is what the RPG battles look like in Tales of Xillia exclusively for PS3. Coming this Fall 2012.
The latest game in the Tales series was the 3DS Tales of the Abyss 3D released last year, a remake of the PS2 title from 2006. Before that we got Tales of Graces f for PS3, an enhanced port of a Wii game in the series that was never released outside of Japan. The game most players will remember from the current generation is the Xbox 360-exclusive Tales of Vesperia (also released for PS3 in Japan with an updated version). Sadly there are two fairly recent DS entries in the Tales series that never got released outside of Japan. Hopefully Namco can combine them into a dual-pack and release it for 3DS or something along those lines eh?
Otherwise, releases of Tales games in the West have been somewhat hit or miss, but it’s great to hear that Tales of Xillia will finally be getting its day on Western shores.
Apparently some pretty cool cats from Tales of Xillia. What with the shades in all…

Will you rise? Assassin’s Creed 3 releases on October 31, 2012. Be sure to pre-order!
Assassin’s Creed 3 movie? Live-Action visuals abound with real people in this impressive live-action trailer that asks players to “RISE” and defend what it is they are fighting for!
This new trailer definitely leaves an impression, and pumps you up for what is sure to be the biggest Assassin’s Creed game ever. The Assassin’s Creed III release date is on October 31st, 2012.
Here is the Assassin’s Creed 3 Rise Live Action Trailer!
For freedom to rise, the oppressor must fall. Blood will be shed, sacrifices will be made, but the idea we all fight for will live on forever. Assassin’s Creed III shows us that the smallest action can spark the flame that ignites the revolution: a soldier fighting for his country; a priest struggling with his faith to follow his beliefs; a mother willing to kill to protect her children; a lone assassin, fighting for freedom and justice. The strongest weapon against tyranny is the will of the individual… it’s time to RISE.
An awesome gameplay screenshot, very cinematic, of The Amazing Spider-Man videogame in action.
The Amazing Spider-Man Videogame has the 89-year-old Stan Lee (YES HE’S THAT OLD!) as a playable character for the first time in a videogame! Only if you pre-order The Amazing Spider-Man! The all-new game developed by veteran Spider-Man developer Beenox (Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions). It will be released June 26th 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, 3DS, Wii, DS, Android and iOS.
The Amazing Spider-Man Videogame is releasing to coincide with the film of the same name. The movie hits theaters on July 3, 2012, just in time for the 4th of July American Independence Day celebrations.
Although the game is based on the film, it is only loosely so in most regards, as the game expands on many aspects of the movie with characters from the comicbooks, and the game does not feature the likeness or voice acting from a single one of the The Amazing Spider-Man film’s actors.
Here is a trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man videogame.
The biggest change is a fully open-world, a recreation of New York City, and a fully updated combat system that is similar to the one seen in Batman: Arkham City, featuring free-flowing combos, chains, parry’s, etc. A number of side-missions, minigames, etc. can be found within the open world, which gives players the choice of how they want to tackle the game. One of the coolest additions are full, collectable comicbooks featuring some of the biggest issues and moments from throughout Spidey’s long career! Such as Amazing Fantasy #15, the final 1960s issue which introduced the character Spider-Man to the world. Spider-Man would go on to become one of the most popular characters of all time.
If you pre-order The Amazing Spider-Man on Xbox 360 or PS3 from Amazon.com, you’ll get the very cool bonus of Stan Lee as a playable character! Stan Lee has all of Spider-Man’s moves, and has a side-mission that sees him collecting the missing pages of a comicbook script that flies out the window! The best part is that the 89-year-old Spider-Man creator recorded lots of fun dialogue with him saying some of his infamous catchphrases and repeating some of the words that Spider-Man is known for. You can see Stan Lee himself describe his new playable videogame form in this The Amazing Spider-Man Videogame gameplay video.
