Will PS Vita Ever Outsell the PSP? Much Less the 3DS?

PS Vita vs 3DS

Will the PS Vita ever overtake the 3DS? Or will Nintendo forever dominate?

Will PS Vita ever outsell PSP? Much less the 3DS?

That is the question as we head into the holiday season, where the PS Vita is having a rough ride. A lot of people are claiming doom and gloom for Sony’s next-gen powerhouse system.

Although with it’s innovative features (from a touchpad on the back to dual Control Sticks and a touchscreen to unique wi-fi GPS features like Near and Party to 3G Support) and the backing of Sony, only a fool would count the system out.

The launch of the PS Vita wasn’t exactly a raging success, and the system had too little big-name games that have kept the system from selling in big numbers. Only 2 million systems have sold WORLDWIDE, although reports say that software and videgame sales, both digital and hardcopy, are brisk and going well for the games that are out there.

However, with Nintendo just hitting its stride with the 3DS and launching with big-name titles for the holidays like New Super Mario Bros. 2 (released in August), Pokemon Black & White 2 also out now (granted they are DS titles, but can be played on 3DS), Paper Mario: Sticker Star hitting in later November and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask releasing later this month; It’s going to be hard for the PS Vita to compete.

For the PS Vita there are few big-name games for this holiday. The biggest of them probably being Assasssin’s Creed III: Liberation, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, Silent Hill: Book of Memories and Persona 4 Golden. Read the rest of this entry »

Weekly Videogame Releases Of the Week (Console and PC) May 14 2012 – May 20 2012

Diablo 3 Gameplay Screenshot

Gameplay of Diablo III in action! The long-awaited sequel launches on May 15, 2012 for PC!

What videogame releases of May 2012 release this week? The week of May 14th to May 20th sees some HUGE heavy hitters in the videogame arena.

The biggest release of this week, if not of the month, is most definitely Diablo 3. Diablo 3 is the long-awaited Blizzard-developed sequel to the hit hack-and-slash loot-dropping action RPG series that blew up on the PC and became one of the biggest and most long-played PC videogame series of all time. The original Diablo was released way back in 1996 with its sequel, Diablo 2, hitting over a decade ago in 2000. To put that into perspective, Diablo 1 was released the same year as Super Mario 64 on the N64 and Diablo 2 was released a year BEFORE Final Fantasy X. Old games indeed, but even so people still routinely play and praise them today!

Finally, a modern entry in the series has been released with Diablo 3! This game has been in development for an ETERNITY, first announced way back in 2008. So the game has been in-development for no less than four-years! A true eternity in videogame time. Will the game be worth the wait? We’ll have to wait and see! But already the game sits pretty atop the pre-order charts, so sales for Activision Blizzard are sure to be through the roof!

The Diablo III Collector’s Edition logo. Epic.

Not to be outdone is the long-waited third entry in Rockstar’s Bullet-time action series “Max Payne”, with Max Payne 3. Finally the action hero of last-generation is being restored for modern times. So this is a very exciting release and definitely one of the biggest and most highly-anticipated releases of the year!

Another big release this week is Game of Thrones, a huge, epic western-style RPG published by Atlus Games (Of Japanese RPG fame), and based on the hit TV show of the same name. It’ll be interesting to see how big of game it is, and how well it sells. Making it an RPG in the vein of “The Witcher” or “Skyrim” was a very smart idea… The 3DS is also getting a new title with Mario Tennis Open from Nintendo & Camelot!

Console and PC Releases of the Week, Physical and Digital (May 14-May 20th 2012):
* Diablo III + Collector’s Edition (May 15th) – PC

Persona 4: The Golden Announced. Enhanced PS Vita Version. Pop and Serious Trailers

Persona 4: The Golden Gameplay Screenshot (Dungeon)

Exploring dungeons in this PS Vita RPG update of the PS2 Atlus classic.

Persona 4 is a PS Vita remake (more of an update) of Persona 4 that will be released in Japan on June 14th, 2012; it has yet to get a Western release date, but most of the Persona games nowadays come over so you can expect it soon. Especially given that it is a big-name PlayStation Vita title. I’m sure Sony would like to see a AAA Japanese RPG of high-quality released for their new portable system.

Here is the “Serious Persona 4: The Golden Trailer” for PS Vita.

Originally, Persona 4: The Golden was to be called “Persona 4 Portable” and would be similar to the PSP version of Persona 3 (entitled: Persona 3 Portable and released on July 6 2010) where it would include a few updates and changes, but also would eliminate some of the features of the PS2 console version of Persona 4 in order to fit it on the portable format.

This is what Atlus did with the PSP version of Persona 3 Portable, which featured the ability to play as a female character (which altered a lot of the game), included two new difficulty levels, the ability to replace the assistant of Igor (Elizabeth) with a male equivalent and a few other minor changes. It also featured a major change to the battle system by incorporating elements of Persona 4. One of the ways in which the portable PSP version of Persona 3 was made inferior however was by the removal of the anime cutscenes, replaced with ingame versions. Additionally, the game added several new cameo characters from Persona 4, and new music for the female character; and a cameo by Vincent from Catherine.

Here is a trailer for the PSP “Persona 3: Portable”.

This time, for Persona 4: The Golden, Atlus was able to use the power of the PS Vita and the larger media format to simply add to the game, without taking anything away from the console PS2 version of Persona 4: FES that the PS Vita version is based on (the updated version of the original game).

Persona 4: The Golden for PS Vita will include both new features as well as new story elements. A new fully voiced character named Marie has been added to the story, and she’ll aid the core party throughout the adventure. All-new anime cutscenes have been added alongside all-new spoken lines of dialog, new Persona’s will be added, and online features that make use of Near and Party have been added-in as well, in order to take advantage of the PS Vita’s online social features.

Persona 4: The Golden Conversation Screenshot

Persona 4: The Golden will contain many a-conversation in typical RPG fashion.

Now the player can call another player to help them in difficult dungeon battles if that player is online at the same time as you! Another new feature is a Garden area that has been added, which allows you to produce items that you can save and use in dungeons.

Other new features include additional content for the “Programming Schedule” that unlock as you get further in the adventure (and allows you to listen to the game’s background music, watch the anime movies, or view artwork), new Trading Cards that you can unlock and trade wirelessly with your friends online or off (you can create your own cards in the Velvet Room) and evolved forms of the Persona’s known as “Kuma” and “Naoto”. Many more additions and changes are assured as well.

Here is the “Pop Persona 4: The Golden Trailer” for PS Vita.

Overall, fans of this game will get plenty of new content to dive into if they have played Persona 4 before, and those who never got around to playing either of the PS2 versions of Persona 4 will definitely be in for a treat. With this definitive version of Persona 4 PS Vita. I will update this article as soon as we find out when the game will be released in America and Europe.

You Got Softcore Porn In My Super Monkey Ball…. YAY! (A PS Vita Story)

Super Monkey Ball Porno. Soft Porno. Bikini Babe

When porn and monkey balls meet. o_O O_O O_o *facepalm*

Oh Japan. You so silly. What would we do without you?

Seriously, WHAT… THE HELL… would we do without you? Probably live a less shameful life…. that’s for DAMN SURE…. and if you don’t know what I’m referring to (like that’s possible, cause you somehow missed the beautiful half-dressed Asian model and her boobs popping awkwardly off the videogame screenshot and into your face) then just…. just…. FEAST DEM EYES!

Cause a feast it is. A feast. For the eyes.

Yukie Kawamura Super Monkey Ball Screenshot

Super Monkey Ball Vita's Adult Mood. No it isn't April 1st.

Okay okay, I’ll try to get serious for one second. As serious as you can be when discussing monkeys in balls and saying it with absolutely no sexual innuendo intended… cause you know. Monkeys. In balls. Plastic ones. And they roll around. Collecting bananas. GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER.

… what do you mean you can’t? Oh you’re watching the video. Okay I understand. Just keep that fap fap fapping down in there. Your mom might hear.

Ahem. So in what has to be quite possibly the strangest move I’ve ever seen a developer make (gay homosexual penis-filled shoot ’em ups not withstanding. We’re talking about Japan here, mind)… okay strangest move I’ve ever seen a GIANT, “AAA”, household name, largely family-friendly developer ever make…. The house that Sonic built… Where’s Sonic you ask? Sonic’s in the closet. Crying his cute little eyes out cause you just robbed his dignity.

Sega has announced that the newest Super Monkey Ball game, that’d be “Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz” (*facepalm*) for the PS Vita, will contain… An “ADULT MODE”. You heard me right. Why they didn’t just throw in the whole kitten and caboodle and go fully nude, hardcore XXX pornographic on us is lost on me, but someone working at Sega had the bright idea to come up with a “hardcore” “Adult Mode” in which a sexually-charged, strategically posed, half-naked, tiny-bikini-clad Asian of unspeakable beauty would be staring directly at the player in photographic form from every surface in which the Monkey rolls his balls. Erhm. I mean, rolls his ball. Over the hills and yonder. Yeah. THOSE HILLS. Aaaaaa. Get it? THOSE HILLS. Like, you know. Boobs. BOOBS.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz (PS Vita) Sexy Screenshot

Balls. Monkeys. Petite Asian Girls In Bikinis. Skin. Bananas. It all sounds so wrong!

Okay I have to say it… What in the HELL is Sega thinking? I have a REALLY hard time believing this whole thing is actually real, but no… these screenshots boaring their holes into your eyesockets ARE real. And yes, it DOES look like a little monkey permanantly sealed in a small plastic ball is getting ready to roll atop…. atop… physical, popping-up, hill-like BREASTS that are just planted in the middle of the screen as if they were normal everyday videogame obstacles. I mean okay okay, it’s an “Adult Mode”. I can’t say I’m “surprised”. But really? REALLY Sega? REALLY? I mean just look at it… You mean to tell me this isn’t made by some 13-year-old kid in his basement? Created while he was sitting on a stack of Playboys? With NO PANTS.

Anyway, reportedly this whole thing all came about due to the BEAUTY that is ravaging your eyes right now, and how she has been a spokeperson for the Super Monkey Ball series (or this lattest PS Vita version in particular) for a while now. Oh and apparently she’s well known in the land where beautiful people reside (i.e. Japanese girls). She’s a smokin’, cute-as-a-button, so-sexy-I-want-to-move-to-Japan-right-now-permanantly gal who pretends to play a PS Vita with Super Monkey Ball on it for a few seconds to draw attention to their new little game in commercials and print-ads. Nice gig she has eh?

Adorable Yukie Kawamura being cute and Asian. Like an angel. Monkey Ball Angel

God she's so precious. Can I have one? "Yes Timmy but keep it under the sheets."

Her name is Yukie Kawamura. Not that you cared about that. What do you mean you’re googling her right now? Dude. DUDE. NSFW. COVER THE SCREEN WITH YOUR HANDS! Ahem. Given that she’s a smokin’ hot Bikini model (and God knows what else), Sega obviously did a little 1+1=2 and thought they’d stick her in the game on this special “Adult Mode” map and tell everyone that you can only get this SPECIAL (oh so special) version of the game if you buy a copy of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz for PS Vita that was produced during the first initial print-run. Yes. That’s right little boys. Run! RUN TO THE STORE AND PRE-ORDER THE GAME! Who am I kiddin’? I’ll bet it’s already sold out…. Well played Sega. WELL PLAYED.

So yeah, I mean, you put two and two together… and…. you know. YOU GET….

THIS.

Super Monkey Ball Vita Yukie Kawamura Porn

There are no words.

Thanks Japan.

Now watch her squeal like a girl!

By the way, did I mention that if you pre-order the game or get your hands on one of the initial print-runs, it comes with a promocard that has the code printed on it to download this uber-special softcore Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz PS Vita map? It’s not quite DLC. No that’s not the point. STOP. And look. THIS is what the code is printed on. And there are three versions. THREE VERSIONS. Now to quote someone’s youtube comment from the trailer you just watched…. “*sigh* Goddammit Japan!”

Yuki Promo Card Super Monkey Ball Vita: Banana Splitz Adult Mode

Super Monkey Ball. Adult Mode Style. Go ahead. Play yourself.

At least I didn’t say “here’s a video of Yuki playing herself” like other websites did. I got more class than that. Yes I did post each and every picture of Yuki. What do you mean you thought this was a Christian site? :D What do you mean I have God selected as a category? Well that’s because God’s watching son. GOD’S WATCHING.
