WatchMePlay Final Fantasy VIII (FFVIII Let’s Play) Part 0 – Full Tutorial (Squall’s PC), Musical Credits Opening and Intro, Scanning Quistis, How to Junction GF

WatchMePlay FFVIII PS1 Let’s Play Part 0 for Final Fantasy 8 (FF8).

Welcome to the initial installment of my FF8 Let’s Play! Need the text for the full tutorial and Squall’s PC in Final Fantasy VIII? Here it is as I go screen-by-screen. We also listen to the amazing opening credit music and watch the awesome CG intro, and play up to the point where we reach Ifrit in the Fire Cavern. I also use Scan Magic on both Quistis and Squall to read what it says about both main characters.

After this initial installment, we will magically hop to the point wherein we get Irvine, which is where I initially started recording this LP. However I plan on going back and filling in those previous sections, which I will link to when they are up. They won’t be numbered however, as the Let’s Play where I get Irvine is “Part 1”.

Davies Symphony Hall; L.A. on June 12th @ The Greek Theatre; Montreal Quebec Canada on June 14th @ Place des Arts; Austin Texas on June 29th @ Long Center; Philadelphia Pennsylvania on July 25th @ The Mann Center For the Performing Arts; Baltimore Maryland on July 27th @ Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall; Toronto Ontario Canada on September 7th @ Sony Centre For the Performing Arts; Seattle Washington State on September 12th @ Benaroya Hall; And Grand Rapids Michigan on October 19th @ Devos Performance Hall!

In cities where the tour will be returning, audiences can expect to experience breathtaking new material exploring additional chapters from The Legend of Zelda franchise, along with traditional performances of the show’s now-classic repertoire from last season.

The name “Symphony of the Goddesses” refers not only to the concert program but also to the four-movement symphony recounting the classic storylines from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The performance also will highlight orchestral renditions of music from other games in the series, including The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

Eímear Noone will conduct the full orchestra with arrangements by music director Chad Seiter, and the evening will be hosted by concert producer and lead creative Jeron Moore.

Guests will relish their favorite moments from the now-27-year-old series, carefully and beautifully timed with a gorgeous orchestral score approved by Nintendo sound director and Zelda franchise composer Koji Kondo. The concert is a festive experience for all walks of fans, many of whom attend “cosplaying” as their favorite characters.

“The demand for Zelda is amazing, and this special concert will deliver an unforgettable experience for fans,” notes Jason Michael Paul, CEO of Jason Michael Paul Productions, which is producing the concert tour. “These performances transcend culture and geography and unite people through a common love for this venerable and legendary series.”

Fans can view a complete tour schedule with ticketing information, and also sign up for a regularly updated digital newsletter, at Zelda Symphony.com. Club Nintendo members can enjoy an exclusive 15 percent discount to the show by logging into their accounts and looking for the discount code on the Symphony of the Goddesses banner. Consumers that are not Club Nintendo members can join for free at Club Nintendo. Exclusive concert packs also are available at select GameStop locations.

I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to attend this concert series. I previously attended the VideoGamesLive Concert Symphony Orchestra and it was INCREDIBLE. One of the best music experiences I’ve ever had. This year I hope to attend not only Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses but also the Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds concerts, both of which will be in California this summer. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, so it’s not unreasonable to drive to my neighboring state to check out the concert! I hope you can make it! Time for me to get a job NOW and start saving! :D

Will 2013 Be the Year of the 3DS? Will Sales Be Huge This Year?

2013 The Year of the 3DS?

Even with big WiiU titles this year, is 2013 the year of the 3DS?

Will 2013 be the year of the 3DS? Where sales really take off and get huge?

Nintendo thinks that will be the case, and many fans agree. After a very slow start and a forced price-cut for the 3DS system… A portable that many thought would fail… Nintendo has turned the situation entirely around with a deluge of outstanding titles including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pokemon Rumble, Super Mario 3D Land, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. And much more will be coming this year which should prove to be a banner year for the system.

Nintendo plans to really push things off with an extensive advertising and marketing campaign for the 3DS. Nintendo UK’s Marketing and PR Director Shelly Pearce had the following to say,

“3DS has really come into its own over the last two years. The 2013 software line-up is the strongest we’ve ever had and combined with a diverse back-catalog that includes both Nintendo favorites like Mario, Professor Layton and Zelda as well as titles like Kid Icarus and Heroes of Ruin or New Style Boutique, there really is something for everyone.”

Nintendo’s 3DS product manager Roger Langford also stated the following:
“You can expect to see extensive sampling, heavy weight TV campaigns, significant online activity and a focus on building communities via social media and events.”

Among these include official US Legend of Zelda Facebook and UK Legend of Zelda Facebook page’s and even an Animal Crossing: New Leaf Twitter where you can follow the Animal Crossing mayor’s assistant, Isabelle in the Twittersphere.

Nintendo looks to do much more of this social networking and connecting directly with fans, as it has been doing through their awesome Nintendo Direct video shows, where Nintendo President Satoru Iwata himself hosts, and Nintendo figures like Bill Trinen (Shigeru Miyamoto’s Translator) and Reggie Fils-aime (President of Nintendo of America, “The Regginator” as he is affectionately called) make regular appearances and speak directly to fans, while also making huge reveals for exciting new and upcoming games, as they did just this week with the announcement of Zelda Link to the Past 2, Yoshi’s Island 3DS, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Zelda: Oracle of Seasons 3DS eShop Release Dates, Mario Party 3DS, Game & Wario for Wii U, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and the long-awaited, oft-prayed for American and Western re-release of EarthBound Wii U Virtual Console eShop.

Boosting the image of the 3DS and solidifying it’s AAA status this year will be huge games including: Pokemon X and Y, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past 2, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. (the new official title), Mario And Donkey Kong: Minis On the Move, Mario Golf: World Tour, Mario Party 3DS, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies, Yoshi’s Island 3DS, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons for Game Boy Color, re-released on 3DS eShop, and surely many more titles that we’ll learn about soon once E3 2013 rolls around.

Hopefully the Wii U will get this amount of support for the latter part of this year and leading into next year as well. It’s a good time to be a Nintendo fan!
