Martin Luthor King Jr. Encouraging Quote of the Day – Like Anybody I Would Like To Live A Long Life. Longevity Has Its Place. But I’m Not Concerned About That Now. I Just Want To Do God’s Will. And He’s Allowed Me To Go Up To the Mountain. And I’ve Looked Over. And I’ve Seen the Promised Land

Martin Luthor King Jr. MLK Great Quote Gods Will Over Longevity to the Promised Land

Absolutely awe-inspiring words from someone who walked the walk and carried his cross.

“Like Anybody I Would Like To Live A Long Life. Longevity Has Its Place. But I’m Not Concerned About That Now. I Just Want To Do God’s Will. And He’s Allowed Me To Go Up To the Mountain. And I’ve Looked Over. And I’ve Seen the Promised Land.” Celebrate MLK’s inspiring Spirit of God with this amazing quote.

The pulse of Christ pumped through this man in so many powerful ways. His thinking was profound beyond human understanding. That’s because he yielded his life to the guide of the Holy Spirit, allowing God to speak through him and change the world. This quote gives me shivers.

If you’ve ever seen the last speech that MLK ever gave, the Holy Spirit was literally dripping off this man. According to interviews with a guy who was with MLK the day he was assassinated, he told people that MLK was the giddiest he had ever seen him. In fact he said Martin Luthor King was actually playful. So playful in fact that he started a pillow fight! This was completely unlike MLK, who was usually stoic and serious. He said this was manifest evidence to him that MLK was divinely inspired and knew that it was his last day on Earth. And even in the midst of that impending doom, he had the joy of Christ. A joy only the peace of God brings. This is from first-hand accounts. You can believe whatever you want to believe, but its clear to people who were there that God flowed through Martin Luthor King Jr. in powerful, powerful ways.

Encouraging Quote of the Day – Forgiveness Is the Key That Unlocks the Door of Resentment and the Handcuffs of Hatred. Breaking Chains of Bitterness and Shackles of Selfishness By Corrie Ten Boom (Holocaust Survivor)

First to Apologize is Bravest, First to Forgive is Strongest, First to Forget is Happiest

This sums things up nicely!

Corrie Ten Boom, “Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hatred. It is a power that breaks the chains of bitterness and the shackles of selfishness.” (via Pastor Benny Hinn)

That quote is from someone who knows real tragedy unlike anything we can imagine. Yesterday, we got closer to being able to imagine what true evil and true horror is; in stark, terrifying, real terms. Except few of us experienced that pain in a direct, real way, as the people and young children who were viciously murdered in cold blood at an elementary school in Connecticut were strangers to us.

These words from Holocaust survivor Corrie ten Boom is proof positive that strength comes from God and God alone. Even when demonic evil taking place all around you and involves the very people you know and love. Even during those dark hours, Jesus is the answer, and in Him alone is where comfort, grace, mercy, forgiveness, peace and the strength that surpasses all mortal understanding reside.

Here is an amazing real interview with Corrie ten Boom herself, speaking in her own words, on forgiveness and how to overcome hardship and tragedy, from someone who survived a Nazi Concentration Camp and still maintained her faith in Jesus Christ and the love of God that confounds the unbeliever.

Encouraging Quote of the Day – YOU Know What’s Beautiful? Read the First Word Again

Jesus Loves You This Much Cross

Jesus already loved you so much He died for YOU. Never forget that.

“YOU know what’s beautiful? Read the first word again.”

Never forget how much God loves YOU and that God created YOU to be YOU. You are special, and every person in this world is someone whom God would forget the whole world just to save. YOU ARE THAT IMPORTANT.

Looking at yourself through the eyes of Jesus Christ, and through the eyes of how other people see you; is a great way to boost your own self-esteem. Remember that YOU MATTER.

Even when it seems like you don’t, even when you don’t feel like you do, and even when you feel worthless, lonely, or lost… remember that everyone impacts the lives of others, and everyone has SOMEONE who loves them. Someone, somewhere. And even if you didn’t or don’t, GOD LOVES YOU. And ultimately, THAT is ALL that MATTERS.

Billy Graham 911 Speech For September 11th 2001 Memorial Service At Washington DC National Cathedral (September 14th 2001)

Billy Graham 911 September 11th 2001 Memorial Speech Photo (9/14/01)

Billy Graham’s 9/11 September 11th Speech at the Memorial Service are powerful, eternal words; even 11 years later here on September 11th 2012.

Here is the full audio, with the text transcript below. God bless you.

Billy Graham’s remarks given at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Friday, September 14, 2001, brought hope and healing to the shocked nation. They still hold power, 11 years later.

We come together today to affirm our conviction that God cares for us, whatever our ethnic, religious or political background may be. The Bible says that He is “the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.” (1)

No matter how hard we try, words simply cannot express the horror, the shock and the revulsion we all feel over what took place in this nation on Tuesday morning. September 11 will go down in our history as a Day to Remember.

Today we say to those who masterminded this cruel plot, and to those who carried it out, that the spirit of this nation will not be defeated by their twisted and diabolical schemes. Some day those responsible will be brought to justice.

Here is a partial video.

But today we come together in this service to confess our need of God. We’ve always needed God from the very beginning of this nation. But today we need Him especially. We’re involved in a new kind of warfare. And we need the help of the Spirit of God. Read the rest of this entry »

Encouraging Quote of the Day – No Thing And No Person Can Make You Miserable Without Your Permission

Pure Joy Puppy

Now THIS puppy knows his victory in Christ! YEAH BABY YEAH!

“No thing and no person can make you miserable without your permission.” – Joyce Meyers

Remember that joy and happiness come from within. No one can take that from you. The Bible says to be joyful because of the victory that Christ has given you over death and the grave. No matter what happens in your life, you ultimately have the victory. Take control of your emotions and do not let your mind be miserable no matter the situation. Instead rejoice!

Encouraging Quote of the Day – Learn To Cast Your Cares, But Not Your Responsibility

Cast Your Cares On the Lord

Learn to cast your cares but not your responsibilities.

“Learn to cast your care, but not your responsibility. Too often we do just the opposite. (1 Pet. 5:6-7)” – Joyce Meyers

Jesus says to cast your cares and your burdens on Him. His yoke is easy and His burden is lite, meaning that He will not become a burden on you or add to your burden, but just the opposite.

However just because we are to cast our cares on God, that does not mean letting go of responsibility. God calls us to be responsible people in all things. However it takes effort to learn to cast your cares, while not casting your responsibility. Learn to do this however, and you will be much better off.

On Death, Life, Dying and God. When It Looks Like Death Has Won, Remember Its A Lie. Love Lasts Forever, For God Is Love (Sermon of the Day T.D. Jakes At Whitney Houston’s Funeral Video)

Death Defeated. Jesus Rises Wallpaper

Death. Defeated. Jesus. Rises.

The Bible says that love is stronger than Death. But in the midst, throes and turmoil of losing a loved one, never forget that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, and took the sting out of Death.

When your loved one passes away, it will look like Death has won. But that’s a lie. Death has not won. For Love lasts forever. Love is stronger than death because God. IS. LOVE.

T.D. Jakes speaks this message at Whitney Houston’s funeral. If you haven’t heard it, take time to listen to his message and allow it to sink in. In just over five minutes this powerful man of God delivers the most eloquent funeral speech I’ve ever heard. Heartfelt, funny, gracious, moving, profound, uplifting. Perfect.

Do not allow death to sow seeds of bitterness, resentment, or even regret. We all will have regrets, of time lost, love lost… and memories and moments never to be redeemed again… But that is a lie. We WILL meet again in Heaven, and that time will be redeemed 100 fold. Remember that the Bible says our lifetime spent here on earth, even if it is 100 years or more, is as a wisp of smoke compared to our eternal life in the hereafter and beyond.

In but an eyeblink from God, 1000 earthly years pass by. Within an early second, our loved ones will be reunited with those who loved Jesus Christ and enter into the Kingdom of Heaven to be rejoined once again. Death is a destination… and death is the beginning of life. NOT THE END. Thus the death of a loved one is something to be celebrated.

Prayer Request: As my uncle Tom passes from this life into the next, please keep him and the family in your prayers. Pray that this brings the family closer than ever before, and that God prepares my uncle’s soul to enter Heaven, and embraces him with open arms. Thank you.

Death Is Dead Wallpaper

Death. Is. Dead.

Celebrate their life, celebrate their memory, and celebrate the reality of the afterlife in the loving wings of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and their creator, their Father God. For our lose is Heaven’s gain. And the gain they receive is beyond earthly measure or comprehension. We will join them soon enough, for life passes by in a blink. Make the best of it, and love people. For God is love, and nothing on this earth, not metal, stone or works of creativity, will pass with us. Nothing but our relationships, and those souls in which we have brought an eternal destiny.

Encouraging Quote of the Day – God Puts People In Our Lives For A Purpose. So We Can Help Them Succeed & Become All He Created Them To Be

The People in Life You Touch - Your Sphere of Influence

…. What is your sphere of influence? The people in life that you touch? And what about those you don’t yet know?

“God puts people in our lives on purpose for a purpose, so we can help them succeed and become all He has created them to be. That means we have an assignment to encourage and inspire them to go higher.”

Do you really think it is an accident that you know the people that you know? Is it an accident that you were born into the family you are in? Is it an accident that new people come into your life and change/effect various aspects of it?

All relationships on earth ultimately have one purpose; to bring the light of Christ to them and to help spread the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, to every person we come into contact with. To make disciples of others, to teach them, impart wisdom to them, and encourage them. To build people up and not tear them down, so that the light of our God may shine forth and influence them to make the right decisions in their own life… So that the chain of bringing others under the wings of Jesus can continue. And on and on and on.

When the Bible says “How can they hear without a preacher?” he is talking about YOU. How can that acquaintance of yours find God if you don’t tell them about Him? Remember to use the influence you have over others to do good, and impart the Word and Light of Christ wherever and whenever possible. You don’t even need to speak to others, sometimes a simple smile, a simple hello, a simple hug, a simple “I know what you are going through, and my God has the solution” will do. Often times, more than an intellectual debate or discussions on the merits of Jesus and His message, it is acts of love that will move the heart and soul, and cause the Holy Spirit to convict that person into heading down the direction that leads to their Savior. We are the messengers. And other people are the field in which we sow new souls.
