Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure Brings Superman, Batman, Joker, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Lex, Darkseid, Doomsday To Cartoon Life (WiiU, 3DS, PC). Trailer Videos, Screenshots E3 2013

Superman in Scribblenauts? AWESOME!

Scribblenauts Unmasked – A DC Comics Adventure is coming to WiiU, 3DS and PC, and brings the world of DC superheroes to the cartoony, anything-goes Scribblenauts universe! Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Joker, Catwoman, Darkseid, Lex Luthor and more, both heroes and villains, will be seen throughout the game.

In the game players will take control of these heroes (Batman, Superman) and villains (Lex, Darkseid) to accomplish various objectives in the game’s new single-player story mode, or can summon these heroes and villains into the game at any point.

Every single version from that characters past is also in the game (including a whopping 130 different Green Lantern characters!), and players can even mix-and-match pieces of each Superhero to create their own custom heroes!

Want to make “Super-Batman” by mixing Superman and Batman into one? GO FOR IT! What about “Super Doomsday?” How about “Lantern Wonder Woman”?. All of it is possible.

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure Heroes Wallpaper (WiiU, 3DS, PC)

So. Awesome!

Like in previous games, any words you type come to life in the game world, and not only are hundreds of thousands of objects covered via the game’s dictionary, but so are a number of objectives and action words. Ever wanted to see a Zombified Mummy Highspeed Batman? Then this is the game you need! If you were to type those words, a Zombified Mummied, fast-moving Batman would appear next to you! You must use this dictionary, which now includes an insane amount of words (exact amount coming soon), to come up with your own solution to solving puzzles. Not only that, but now you can actually view the dictionary itself, so you can see words that may be missing.

You’ll need to use these words to solve puzzles, and solve them in any way you see fit. Need to burn a tree down? Use Superman’s Heat Vision. Or use Wonder Woman to pull it up from the roots. Or you can simply summon fire to burn it to the ground. Summon rot to eat it from the inside. Or create a beaver to munch the tree down. Maybe use a tornado to blow the tree away. Or use a Rhino to ram it to bits! The choice is your’s!

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure also features the Bat Computer, which allows you to view profiles and detailed description on all of the DC Comics Heroes, Villains, Items, Vehicles, etc. that appear in the game! Awesome!

This game looks like another huge hit for developer 5th Cell, who previous brought us the original Scribblenauts for DS in 2009.

Here are the list of Scribblenauts games for the uninitiated.

The sequel Super Scribblenauts for DS was released in 2010. The mobile version, Scribblenauts Remix hit iOS in 2011. The first console version, Scribblenauts Unlimited, was released for WiiU’s launch in 2012 as well as on PC via Steam and for 3DS. A 2-in-1 DS combo pack containing Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts was also released. Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure marks the 4th game in the series. 5th Cell also made a similar series for DS called “Drawn to Life”, which featured players using drawings instead of typing words. That game got a spin-off called Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition in 2008, also for DS. As well as a Wii and DS sequel called “Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter” in 2009.

Yoshi’s New Island Is 3DS Yoshi Title. E3 2013 Trailers, Videos, Screenshots. Hits In 2014. Giant Yoshi Egg

Yoshi's New Island 3DS Gameplay Screenshot Giant Egg Bat Boss

Giant Yoshi Egg!

Yoshi’s New Island is the upcoming 3DS all-new Yoshi game that is the next logical step sequel to Yoshi’s Island SNES, Yoshi’s Story N64 and Yoshi’s Island DS.

As in previous games it has a unique look to it, although this time with a polygonal Yoshi (which doesn’t look as nice if you ask me). The game looks to play exactly the same as previous games, with nothing really “new” (except a Giant Egg), but the game doesn’t hit until 2014 so there’s a long time to add new and unique stuff to the game.

This game looks fun, as all the Yoshi games are, but hopefully it’s better than the DS version and has some all-new elements or an all-new hook.

Synopsis:

An Island Egg-venture Starring Yoshi
The third installment in this beloved franchise makes its way to the Nintendo 3DS system.

Key Yoshi’s New Island Features:

* Yoshi’s New Island keeps the series’ fun game-play mechanics such as Yoshi’s Flutter Jump, Ground Pound and Egg Throw while also offering new abilities. For example, use the giant-sized Mega Eggs to mow down obstacles, destroy pipes and blocks, and reveal hidden doors.
* Using the Nintendo 3DS system’s gyro sensor functionality and the new binocular ability, players can move the system around to uncover hidden areas as well as better aim Mega Egg throws.
* Throughout the game, different worlds feature a variety of art styles, including oil, watercolor and crayon.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team E3 2013 Trailer Videos (3DS). Enter Giant Luigi

Mario & Luigi 4: Dream Team Giant Luigi Gameplay Screenshot (3DS)

GIANT LUIGI!!!!!!!

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. for 3DS is among my favorite and most anticipated upcoming releases. It hits on August 11th and is the 4th entry in the super awesome Mario & Luigi RPG series and the first entry on the 3DS.

I can’t wait for this game!

The best thing about this game is simply how innovative, unique, and fun it looks. These games are always AAA and as good as Action RPGs come, and this one looks to 1Up the outstanding Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story (the third game in the series. Second was Partners in Time on DS, first was Superstar Saga for GBA).

They do that by making the game even weirder and crazier, with Mario entering the psychedelic dreams of the oddball bro Luigi, and messing with the sleeping Luigi to effect the game world as you explore it. You’ll not only see a giant Luigi, you’ll ride a ball of thousands of Luigis, ride a hundreds of Luigi’s tall “Luigi-Tower”, and pull Luigi’s mustache to effect the location you’re exploring! Absolutely GENIUS.

Mario and Luigi 3DS Dream Team Bros. Characters Artwork

Love the artwork.

Synopsis:

Sweet Dreams, Luigi
Mario and Luigi embark on the adventure of their dreams in a hilarious action RPG that combines the resort world of Pi’illo Island with the wild landscapes of Luigi’s imagination, where anything can happen. Meet a host of hilarious characters as you strive to rescue Princess Peach and help Prince Dreambert free his petrified Pi’illo people from the bat-king Antasma’s curse.

Key Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Features:

* Spawn hundreds of Luigi’s that mold into different forms like bouncy towers, wrecking balls and giant hammers for special attacks or to pass obstacles.
Poke, tickle and move a sleeping Luigi on the lower touch screen to alter the dream world on the upper screen.
* Master two worlds by switching between controlling both brothers when battling in the real world and controlling Mario and an army of Luigi’s in dream-world battles.
* With the Nintendo 3DS system turned sideways like a book, experience larger-than-life Giant Battles with a gargantuan-size Luigi on one screen and the enemy on the other screen.
* Find new items and gear to customize Mario & Luigi to fit your play style.
* To help players through the adventure, the game offers various support features, like a Hint System that offers tips on surviving a particular engagement, or an Easy Mode to make a particular battle easier.

Pokemon XY E3 2013 Nintendo Direct Trailers, Videos. All New Fairy Type Revealed (3DS). Now Pet Your Pokemon

Pokemon XY Fairy Type Artwork

All-new Fairy type!

Pokemon XY is coming this October 12th worldwide exclusively for 3DS. Amidst all the craziness at E3 2013 surrounding PS4 and XboxOne, you can’t forget about the massiveness that is Pokemon.

New Pokemon games are coming soon, and this is the first Pokemon game to be rendered in polygonal 3D (with stereoscopic 3D graphics) and the first core game in the series to appear on the Nintendo 3DS.

I don’t really have much to say having not played a core Pokemon game since Pokemon Yellow, but fans definitely love the series and will certainly want to get their grubby hands on this latest version.

Pokemon XY New Creatures Artwork

All-new Pokemon creatures!

Many new features and updates have been added, among the most important including an all-new Fairy Type of Pokemon and the ability to pet your Pokemon much like in Nintendogs to further bond with them.

Sonic Lost World First Gameplay Trailer Videos, Screenshots. Share Gadgets Between Wii U, 3DS Versions. (E3 2013 Nintendo Direct)

Sonic Lost World Gameplay Screenshot WiiU

Sonic Lost World looks absolutely beautiful. WiiU-exclusive.

Sonic Lost World made it’s gameplay debut at E3 2013 and the Nintendo Direct presentation which revealed the first solid details on this upcoming Nintendo-exclusive platformer for WiiU & 3DS.

Sonic Lost World takes Sonic in a completely new direction, with a game world and platforming style that resembles Super Mario Galaxy. The game does not have as much of an emphasis on speed, but instead on slower-paced platforming, although there are some sections where you will speed forward through F-Zero like tunnels and fly through the sky.

Sonic Lost World Racing Gameplay WiiU Screenshot

The racing speedy sections of Sonic Lost World.

The courses look like a mix of Super Mario Galaxy, where you walk around planet-like objects, tunnels, up walls and the like, and the level design of something like F-Zero, definitely a great mix. Read the rest of this entry »

Super Smash Bros. Wii U 3DS Wii Fit Trainer Girl And Animal Crossing Villager Join Cast Of Characters

Wii Fit Trainer Girl Gameplay Super Smash Bros. WiiU 3DS Screenshot

Wah?! Now THIS is interesting…

Super Smash Bros. WiiU/3DS has a new challenger! Wii Fit Trainer joins Villager from Animal Crossing as the two newest cast members to star in the game, alongside the already announced Mega Man in Super Smash Bros. 4!

WII FIT TRAINER GIRL!?! Absolutely… GENIUS! The development team of Super Smash Bros. is known for putting in completely obscure characters that no one has heard of or no one would expect to see in the new Smash Bros. games.

Villager Super Smash Bros. 4 Gameplay Screenshot WiiU 3DS

Hahaha, awesome.

This started with Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch, Pichu and Dr. Mario in Super Smash Bros. Melee for GameCube. And continued in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii with characters like R.O.B. the Robot, Lucario, Pokemon Trainer, and Toon Link!

I have to admit part of me thinks it is a waste of a character to have “Wii Fit Trainer Girl”, but another part of me thinks it is absolutely genius and once again proves out Nintendo’s humorous tone for the series. It also adds another female character which is always a plus.

Of course, another unexpected character was “Villager” from Animal Crossing! While neither of these characters are “cool”, I think both of them are great selections and it’s nice to see an Animal Crossing character playable. Which is great, especially considering the absolute hit Nintendo has on it’s hands with the newest Animal Crossing game, Animal Crossing: New Leaf for 3DS.

I wonder if K.K. Slider will be playable…

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Is New Title of next 3DS Zelda Adventure. E3 2013 Nintendo Direct Trailer Videos, Screenshots

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Stereoscopic 3D Puzzle Screenshot

The perspective and 3D is insane!

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is the official title of “Link to the Past 2” for 3DS, the next Zelda game that is a direct sequel, and in some ways remake, of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES. But with all-new snazzy and incredible stereoscopic 3D graphics!

The Legend of Zelda 3DS: A Link Between Worlds, as previously reported, has an amazing new mechanic where Link can turn into a 2D drawing that paints itself onto walls, where he can then navigate across the wall! This effect looks absolutely amazing and the puzzles that Nintendo can dream up using this mechanic will hurt your brain even briefly seeing it in action.

What’s unclear and a bit interesting plus disappointing (not for me though) is the fact that The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a re-imagined sequel to Zelda: A Link to the Past, the SNES classic from 1992. It is set in the same world as the original game, but features a new storyline, new mechanics, new puzzles, and basically looks to remix A Link to the Past. A fact that some people find disappointing, as you’ll be retreading very familiar ground for the most part.

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 2D Link And Eye Enemy Screenshot

2D Link YES! Sooo creative!

However it IS an all-new game, and thus the game will feature all-new elements including new dungeons. Whether other additions include new weapons and items, new enemies, new bosses or new characters remains to be seen. What we do know, is that the game features many of the same elements from the previous games, including the same dungeons (albeit likely remixed), same weapons (Bow & Arrow, Bomb, Magic Hammer/Mallet, Master Sword), same enemies, same bosses (including the giant worm boss), etc.

How much of this content is new? How much of this content is remixed? And how much of this content is literally simply a stereocopic 3D graphical upgrade of the same exact dungeon/overworld layout, weapons, items, etc. of the original A Link to the Past? This question remains unknown.

One definite change is the Magic Meter. Instead of picking up potions to refill it, it refills on its own gradually.

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Dungeon Screenshots

Classic dungeon GET!

However, either way you slice it, returning to the world of A Link to the Past is an extremely exciting proposition. Boosted by the fact that the game features incredible stereoscopic 3D effect that take advantage of the 3DS features like few games before it. And the 3D really has to be seen (in 3D particularly) to be believed. Once you see it in person, you WILL be impressed.

The viewpoint is the same as the original, but features new tweaks that really make you feel like you are in the world. Bones thrown at your shield will fly up towards the camera/screen for example. Additionally, dropping and getting bounced up to higher or lower levels of a dungeon, seeing enemies that pop up towards you… It all looks extremely impressive.

Less impressive, to me, is the art-style, which doesn’t look as cool as the 2D style of the original, which almost had a painterly, cartoony look to it. This new game features polygonal graphics, that don’t look nearly as artistic. However it features fully orchestrated remixes of the classic Zelda: Link to the Past music, which is awesome! That fact alone makes up for the less-artistic graphic style.

Having said that, the ability to turn into a literal Link painting (which looks like the Link from the stained-glass window artwork in Zelda: The Wind Waker) and walk along walls is ABSOLUTELY GENIUS. That mechanic and new hook sells the game itself, and I can’t wait to see the way Nintendo’s master designers, including Shigeru Miyamoto, use 2D Link!

This game will be released this November 2013!

Official Synopsis
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a new game with a new storyline set in world of the Super NES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Key Features of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds:

* The game brings this top-down, 2D world to life with elevation and depth made possible by the Nintendo 3DS system’s stunning stereoscopic 3D visuals that reinvent classic Zelda gameplay at a constant 60 frames per second.
* Players can Use the touch screen to touch and drag the items/weapons from the Equipment Window and switch the items assigned to the X and/or Y buttons.

Is Wart In Super Mario 3D World? Put Him In Smash Bros. Wii U Nintendo!

Wart In Super Mario 3D World? Yes Please! Artwork From Super Mario Bros. 2

Please, please put Wart in Smash Bros. WiiU & Super Mario 3D World!

Is Wart the boss of Super Mario 3D World?! COULD IT BE?!

Wart is one of the greatest Nintendo villains ever conceived, and served as the end-boss of Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES (originally a non-Mario game called Doki Doki Panic in Japan, but let’s ignore that fact).

Wart Mario Boss Wallpaper Artwork By SoftNintendo

Beautiful artwork of King Wart!

Sadly the hulking green frog who despises veggies and desires Mario’s flesh, has not been seen in a single game SINCE Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES, released in 1988! However an updated version of Wart appeared again for the first time as a Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee or Brawl (…. WAIT! Or am I mistaken? After googling I could not find an image of a Wart Trophy…. I could have sworn he appeared as a Trophy in one of those games though, but maybe I’m getting him confused with King K. Rool) that you could collect and see what he’d look like today with modern graphics. He also made a brief appearence in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening as the giant frog “King Mondo Mondo”, who teaches you one of the three Ocarina songs.

Now, however, we have a game in which Princess Peach is a PLAYABLE CHARACTER. This means that Bowser cannot kidnap her for the story line. Bowser has not been mentioned… So, this would be the PERFECT time to REVIVE WART as the end boss of Super Mario 3D World, AND follow that up by making Wart a playable character in Super Smash Bros. WiiU/3DS!

COME ON NINTENDO! This is the perfect opportunity to revive an absolutely badass character in King Wart! DOOO IT!

Wart Super Mario Bros. 2 Character Sprites

Sooo awesome! I love this character!

Here is the trailer for Super Mario 3D World for WiiU, with Princess Peach playable. Naturally no mention of Wart…

Here is the trailer for Super Smash Bros. WiiU/3DS! Again, no mention of Wart…. *sadness*

Last but definitely not least, here is the Super Mario Bros. 2 End Boss Wart Fight!

Mega Man Joins Super Smash Bros. 4 WiiU, 3DS! Retro Awesome To the Max! New E3 2013 Trailer Videos (Nintendo Direct)

Super Smash Bros. 4 Mega Man Wallpaper WiiU 3DS Screenshot Cutscene

Bad freakin’ ass! Mega Man joins the Smash Bros. cast!

Mega Man is in Super Smash Bros. 4 WiiU/3DS, and you can see the Blue Bomber in action with this new E3 2013 Nintendo Direct gameplay reveal trailer which showed off the first official footage of the new Super Smash Bros. games in action!

The game looks really good, the graphics look great, and all of the classic characters you know and love are featured, including: Samus, Link, Donkey Kong, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Pikachu, Fox, etc.

Two new characters were revealed: Mega Man annnnnd…. Villager! The Villager is from Animal Crossing, and has awesome Animal Crossing inspired moves like Cutting Trees and hooking your opponents head with his net!

But Mega Man is the one who stole the show! He has the most badass classic Mega Man, retro gameplay look and has moves inspired by all of the original NES Mega Man 1 8bit bosses! I was also extremely impressed with the way they made Mega Man’s Buster Arm Cannon shoot completely differently from Samus’.

SO. AWESOME.

Officially entitled simply “Super Smash Bros.”, it will be released for WiiU and 3DS in 2014!

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Encyclopedia Musuem Database. All Fish, Insects, Fossil, Art Descriptions As I Find Them

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Museum Shark And Fish

Awesome view of the shark tank in Animal Crossing: New Leaf for 3DS.

Welcome to the Animal Crossing: New Life All Fish, Insects, Fossils Database Encyclopedia featuring the descriptions of these items from the game, in all their scientific glory, as I find them in the game.

I’ve been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf since May 30th or thereabouts, and I’ve uncovered a lot of the collectables in the game so far. As I do, I will write down the descriptions given from the Museum so you can educate yourself on animal life via videogames! I will also update this page with more information as I play through the game throughout the next year. Enjoy!

FISHES

Butterfly Fish (As mayor, welcome to my pockets!) – I Caught It: 6/3/13
Butterfly Fish are considered very cute pets, popular because of their beautiful nature. They glide through the warm seas by flapping their yellow bodies as if they were butterflies. Their diets are surprisingly hardy, as they gobble coral and poisonous anemones using narrow mouths. Butterfly Fish couples have been known to live together for 10 years or more. Often they can be seen swimming around in pairs. You’ll likely never find a better underwater romance.
Season: Spring-Fall, Location: Sea

Squid (Yes, I did!) – I Caught It: 6/3/13
People assume squids have legs, but those are actually arms. There are 10 in all; two are used to grab prey. To swim, they twist their fins and expel water from inside their bodies to allow for fluid motion. The ink they shoot when threatened forms into the shape of a squid, acting as a sort of body double.

Bluegill (There’s a lot in this ville!) – I Caught It: 6/3/13
Bluegills have spikes on their dorsal fins to help protect them from enemies and harm. Their offspring actually have a fairly high survival rate when compared to other fish. The males chase away the females and take over protecting the eggs and babies in the nest. Although Bluegills are small, they are actually related quite closely to Black Bass.

Black Bass (I’ve got some class!) – I Caught It: 6/3/13
They get their names from their somewhat blackish bodies, though they have a green tint. They usually hide in weeds and wait until other fish approach before forcefully striking. Many people use lures to catch Black Bass because they are such strong fish. Black Bass have a fierce image, as the males will scare off other fish to protect the fry in the nest. They are related to Sea Bass, so they make for a tasty dinner, though their skin has a very strong odor.

Piranha – I Caught It: 6/1/13
– They have terrifyingly sharp teeth, which contributes to their ferocious reputation. Oddly enough, they are actually quite timid, though they are still very dangerous fish. If they can’t find food, they will resort to cannibalism or tear apart any animal they can grab hold of. Take care when catching them so they don’t end up biting your hand with their sharp teeth!
