2013 Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses tour gives orchestra-fans across the United States, Canada and in several European countries new chances to see this spectacular celebration of videogame music from throughout The Legend of Zelda series!

Lots of new tour dates across the United States have been added (mostly on the West Coast, however), along with several solo shows throughout many other countries. If you live in the U.S., then 2013 is definitely your year to do what you can to try and make it out to see a Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses show! You will NOT be disappointed!

This new tour dates come off the heels of a highly successfully tour of Australia last month in February, so the Zelda Symphony truly is global now!

I have previously gone to see Video Games Live (also a symphony orchestral event) with my family and friends and it was AMAZING. I spent around $600 to take everyone and buy lots of merch and it was well worth it… Even though we literally had the worst seats in the house at the back row! It is still my plan to also see the Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy orchestra concert. Hopefully I’ll see both as both shows will be coming to California (I live in Arizona, right next door) this summer! :D

 

Wii Slim (Wii Mini) Red and Black System Announced For Canada At $100. New Streamlined Console Removes Online Capability, Shrinks Size. Doesn’t Play GameCube Games

The Wii Mini slimline, streamlined Wii system is a new holiday treat for Canadians. This new system shrinks the Wii down even further, offers a very cool new two-toned design and removes a number of key features for an ultra-budget $100 price point!

Cut features include the complete absense of Wi-Fi and Online Capabilities ( :O ) and no GameCube backwards compatibility. Nintendo is taking a “it’s all about the games” tagline with this system, saying it’s for those who only want to play a few Wii titles and don’t care about the Wii Virtual Console, WiiWare, Netflix or any of that jazz.

This may only be a test-run, with Nintendo testing the waters to see how the system is recieved in a country that doesn’t have a high number of people online compared to other countries. If it is well recieved, we may see a launch of the Wii Mini elsewhere, like in the USA, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, China, Russia, etc.

Just be sure you know what you are getting into if you pick up a Wii Mini, and be sure to educate others around you who may not realize they are picking up a system with no online capability.

The Wii Mini launched on December 7th 2012 only in Canada, and thus is out now at $99 Canadian Dollars. No word on when or if the system will hit other territories.
