Metal Songs of the Day – Ransom + Evil Unseen (Becoming the Archetype Month. Lyrics Included) From Dichotomy

Ransom + Evil Unseen by Becoming the Archetype are tracks #6 and 7 from Becoming the Archetype’s third full-length album, 2008’s jaw-dropping Dichotomy.

My two absolute favorite songs from this flat-out incredible album are tracks seven and eight, Ransom and Evil Unseen. These two tracks are best played back-to-back because they are so absolutely epic through and through. Ransom features some of my favorite lines on the album, particularly the face-melting heaviness of the final line of the song, which ranks as my favorite metal section of all time. I won’t reveal it hear or risk spoiling the absolute awesomeness. And that song is followed by one of the heaviest songs from Dichotomy in Evil Unseen, a song that will get you headbanging until your head comes off. I feel like all the words I’ve just said are wholly inadequate to describe how absolutely pulverizing these two tracks are. Just listen and rock your little heart out!

About Becoming the Archetype Month
February 2013 is dedicated to the Christian metal band Becoming the Archetype, arguably my favorite band (Along with Demon Hunter and The Showdown, both signed to Solid State Records) and follows January 2013 which was Demon Hunter Month. February will feature songs from BtA’s entire catalog featured daily throughout the month, one a day. Whether you like metal, believe in God or not, check these songs out as you may be pleasantly surprised and hopefully you will discover some new-to-your-ears music to enjoy. Becoming the Archetype’s sound is extremely heavy, and metalheads will be in Heaven. However all songs are deep with powerful lyrics that will make you think and ponder, as the sound takes you to new spaces between time and existence, Heaven and Hell. Enjoy!

And we got to see that visually, on steroids, in The Matrix Reloaded, when he not only dodged a few bullets, but stopped hundreds of them in their tracks! SO. AWESOME. The Matrix Trilogy remains among my top favorite films of all time!

WatchMePlay Metal Gear Rising Part 9 of my Let’s Play series, as a classic Metal Gear Item Returns!

I was very surprised to see that stealth can actually be used in Metal Gear Rising, until this point the game is all action… but thanks to the Cardboard Box, sneaking up on enemies can indeed be accomplished and wield fantastic results! This is also the point in my video series where I mess with the video settings to create a different picture. I think it’s a better one, as the colors are bolder, but some stuff like the Codec conversations are a bit blurrier, it works however.
