Videogame Photo of the Day – The Last Supper Jesus Game Mascots Nintendo Mario Sonic Capcom Artwork
Even though these kind of pieces are a bit blasphemous, it’s still interesting to see how people reinterpret the famous painting into videogame art pieces. There are several of them, and all of them are interesting.
Of course, here is Da Vinci’s famous The Last Supper Painting of Jesus and His Disciples.
Song of the Day – Between You And Me (DC Talk Month. Lyrics Included) From Jesus Freak Album
Today’s DC Talk Month Song of the Day is “Between You And Me”, from their 1995 album Jesus Freak. This is track #7 of 13.
Between You And Me is another powerful song from DC Talk. If you really want to see how talented this bands music and singing is, this song is a great example. While I dig DC Talk’s fun songs, their slow songs like this one are their most powerful and are extremely moving. I love the bridge section. This is one of my favorite DC Talk songs ever! Enjoy.
Between You And Me DC Talk Song Lyrics
(It’s just between you and me)
(I’ve got something’ to say)
(I want to get it straight)
(Before the sun goes down)
Sorrow is a lonely feeling
Unsettled is a painful place
I’ve lived with both for far too long now
Since we’ve parted ways
I’ve been wrestling with my conscience
And I found myself to blame
If there’s to be any resolution
I’ve got to peel my pride away
[Chorus]
Just between you and me
I’ve got something’ to say
want to get it straight
Before the sun goes down
Just between you and me
Confession needs to be made
Recompense is my way to freedom now
Just between you and me
I’ve got something to say
If confession is the road to healing
Forgiveness is the promised land
I’m reaching out in my conviction
I’m longing to make amends
So, I’m sorry for the words I’ve spoken
For I’ve betrayed a friend
We’ve got a love that’s worth preserving
And a bond I will defend
[Chorus]
In my pursuit of God, I thirst for holiness
As I approach the Son, I must consider this
Offenses unresolved, they’ll keep me from the throne
Before I go to Him my wrong must be atoned
If there’s to be any resolution
I’ve got to peel this pride away
Just between you and me
I’ve got something’ to say
I want to get it straight
Before the sun goes down
Just between you and me
Confession needs to be made
Recompense is my way to freedom
It’s my way to freedom
It’s my way to freedom
It’s my way to freedom
I’ve got something to say, so let me say it today
It’s my way to freedom
It’s my way to freedom
I’ve got something to say, confession needs to be made
It’s my way to freedom
It’s my way to freedom
I’ve got something to say, confession needs to be made
It’s my way to freedom
It’s my way to freedom
I’ve got something to say

Here is the official Between You And Me DC Talk Music Video. I’m not exactly sure what is going on in this video (some guys chasing another guy who’s got a mysterious package), but the video is set in a laundry mat and it’s great, as always, to see the guys singing their song. :)

About DC Talk Month
March 2013 is dedicated to the Christian rock pioneers DC Talk, arguably my favorite Christian CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) rock band and follows January 2013 which was Demon Hunter Month and February 2013 which was Becoming the Archetype Month. March will feature songs from most of dc Talk’s discography (1992’s Free At Last, 1995’s Jesus Freak, 1998’s Supernatural and 2000’s Intermission) featured daily throughout the month, one a day. Whether you like rock/alternative/hip-hop music, believe in God or not, check these songs out as you may be pleasantly surprised and hopefully you will discover some new-to-your-ears music to enjoy. DC Talk features lots of variety in their tunes, from hard rock to hip-hop to slow ballads that will pull on your heartstrings to singable power pop, so there will most certainly be something you’ll like. Pikachu Yellow 3DS XL Pokemon-Themed System Release Date Is March 24 2013 (USA) Alongside Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity (3DS)
The Pikachu 3DS XL is yellow in color (naturally) and features the adorable rat square and center in the middle of the front of the system. It will also include a 4GB SD Card and will cost $200. I’m pretty positive that this is the first yellow-colored Nintendo system since the Yellow Game Boy Color that came with Pokemon Yellow way back in the day! (i.e., 1999 I believe).
However it’s worth noting that the Pikachu 3DS XL system is NOT bundled with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity, the two are sold separately. Which is an odd decision, I’d think Nintendo would want to raise the profile of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series by including it with the yellow Pikachu 3DS.
Maybe Nintendo thinks that the Pikachu 3DS would go better with the upcoming Pokemon X & Y, and will bundle it with those games at a later date? Time will tell. Nintendo also recently released a special Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS system bundle, for those who are keeping count.
This Pikachu 3DS-XL is a really neat looking system. I’ll definitely want to get my hands on it at some point!
As for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, it is the 3rd installment in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, which began on the Game Boy Advance with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team in 2006 (If “Mystery Dungeon” sounds familiar, that’s because it in itself is an RPG line of games developed by Chunsoft. Few of the games have made it to the West, but you may have heard of Chocobo Mystery Dungeon or “Chocobo’s Dungeon” or Siren the Wanderer, both titles in the “Mystery Dungeon” line).
A Blue Rescue Team version was also available for the original DS in 2006, making it one of the few games ever to get a simultaneous release on both Game Boy Advance and DS. The sequels followed in 2007 with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness for DS. An enhanced remake (similar to the extra-colored Pokemon editions like Yellow, Emerald, Crystal, and Platinum) was released in 2009 for DS called “Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky” that included updated features over the original Explorers of Time & Darkness games.
And finally that brings us to the 3DS game Gates to Infinity in 2013. It’s also worth noting that a WiiWare Pokemon Mystery Dungeon spin-off was released exclusively in Japan and no where else called “Blazing Adventure Squad”, “Stormy Adventure Squad” and “Light Adventure Squad” (different versions).
All Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games are a subset of RPG called a “Roguelike”. These games are normally extremely difficult, but Pokemon Mystery Dungeon makes them more accessible and gives a “for everyone including kids” spin on the Roguelike genre. Rogue-likes feature randomly-generated, turn-based maps/dungeons, tile-based battles, hardcore level-grinding (where you have to keep fighting many enemies to get strong enough to proceed) and often feature perma-death (meaning characters that die stay dead forever). Most of these games are dungeon-crawls, meaning the vast majority of the game takes place inside dungeons with multiple floors. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon however features fantastic character development, extremely witty and hilarious writing, and an incredibly deep storyline where the Pokemon themselves actually speak and talk, and are their own unique characters.
If you’ve never played a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, I highly recommend it. And this is coming from someone who had never played a Rogue-like before nor is a big Pokemon fan!
Here is a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity trailer video.

Join up with people nearby who are also playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity to explore and battle through dungeons together! Up to four people can play at a time. You can play as any of the Pokémon on your team—you don’t have to battle as your main Pokémon character.

Songs of the Day – Red Letters+The Truth (DC Talk Month. Lyrics Included) From Supernatural Album
Today’s DC Talk Month Songs of the Day are “Red Letters” and “The Truth” from their 1998 Supernatural album. Red Letters is track #13 of 14 whereas The Truth is track #9 of 14.
Red Letters is such an amazing song, speaking of the power of Jesus’ spoken words, which are written in Red in certain versions of the Bible. Powerful stuff. I should note that the above video is the trimmed version of the song from Intermission (2001), the original version is below. In my opinion the trimmed version is much better, as the original version gets a bit weird towards the end and ruins it, whereas the trimmed version flows better.
Red Letters DC Talk Song Lyrics
Pages filled with a holy message
Sealed with a kiss from heaven
On a scroll long ago
Phrases, words that were bound together
Now have the power to sever
Like a sword evermore
Heed the words divinely spoken
May your restless heart be broken
Let the supernatural take hold
There is love in the red letters
There is truth in the red letters
There is hope for the hopeless
Peace and forgiveness
There is life in the red letters
In the red letters
One man came to reveal a mystery
Changing the course of history
Made the claim he was God
Ageless, born of a virgin Mary
Spoke with a voice that carried through the years
It’s persevered
Heed the words divinely spoken
May your restless heart be broken
Let the supernatural take hold
What You say moves me, revelation, come and take me
The more I look, the more I see
The Word of God is what I need
—————
Here is the original version of Red Letters from Supernatural (1998).

Last but not least is “The Truth”, also hailing from Supernatural (Track #9). This song is about the Truth of God and how it surpasses all understanding. It’s a great song and a slower one.
The Truth DC Talk Song Lyrics:
Say what you want, mean what you say
Remember the deepest seeds still find the light of day
Do as you please, and be who you be
I’m telling you, this thing’s gonna bring you to your knees
The truth is what we need, it is the end of mystery
You know the truth will set you free
The truth is out there, the truth is out there
I am living proof that the Spirit moves
It’s a Holy interceding absolute
Say what you want, but you’ve got to believe
There’s a dimension that the eyes haven’t seen
The secret is out and people are coming clean
(Chorus)
The truth is out there
Our search is not in vain
The truth is out there
God has prepared a way
The truth is out there
To save the human race…out there
Say what you want, but you’ve got to believe
There’s a dimension that eyes haven’t seen
The secret is out and God knows I’m coming clean
(Chorus)
The truth is out there
For you and me, it’s out there
The truth is out there
I believe it’s out there

Videogame Photo of the Day – Epic Big Daddy Little Sister Cosplay (Bioshock)
Look at the detail in the Big Daddy costume, absolutely epic! And the Little Sister, who appears to be daddy’s little girl, is absolutely PERFECT. :D
It’s funny to see a dad and daughter team-up like this, perfect characters for a perfect situation. Glad someone had the sense to capture this on film, as this is an amazing cosplay piece!
Here’s another Big Daddy, Little Sister cosplay. The photo above is amazing though cause the Little Sister is actually a little girl, which is much harder to find.
And here is a trailer for the original Bioshock!
